American fashion’s leading tribute to designer talent, the CFDA Fashion Awards, announced the nominees and honorees for the 2015 awards earlier this evening. Nominations for the awards were submitted by the CFDA Fashion Awards Guild, made up of the 450+ members of the CFDA, along with top fashion retailers, journalists, and stylists.
Swarovski is continuing its legacy of support for design by partnering with the CFDA and is sponsoring the Swarovski Award for emerging talent in women’s wear, men’s wear and accessory design. Newly appointed Swarovski SVP for corporate branding and communications in North America and global licensing, Peter Arnold, was on hand to join Diane Von Furstenberg and CFDA CEO Steven Kolb in announcing the nominees. The awards will take place on June 1st at Alice Tully Hall at Lincoln Center in New York.
A number of this year’s nominees have made waves globally over the course of the last few years and reflect well on just how far American fashion has come internationally in such a short time. The Impression would like to congratulate all of this year’s nominees as well as honorees, and hopes each of you takes a day off, puts the electronics away, and soaks this in before the workload of next season’s wave carries you away.
