Last night at The Jane Hotel in Manhattan’s West Village, 10 fashion-forward finalists were chosen for the 2015 CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund (CVFF) during a cocktail party hosted by Carolina Herrera.

For 12 years, CFDA and Vogue have been lending a helping hand to blooming designers with big minds and big creativity, take Alexander Wang (2008) and Joseph Altuzarra (2011) for example.

All 2015 finalists will first meet with the CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund Selection Committee to review current collections, undergo extensive interviews and visit their design studios. Following this process, the finalists will then endure numerous design challenges, all underwritten by Fossil. Finally, come October each designer’s fate lies within the Chateau Marmont in Los Angeles for the final presentation fashion show.

David Neville of rag & bone (Past CFDA Menswear Designer of the Year winner), announced that this year, the grand prize has been elevated to $400,000 for the winner (a whopping $100,000 more than the previous year) and $150,000 for the two runners-up. The official announcement will be held in New York City on November 2nd.

Established in 2004, the CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund was created to help emerging American design talents evolve into further successes within the business of fashion. The 2015 CVFF finalists include:

Scott Studenberg and John Targon, BAJA EAST

Matt Baldwin, BALDWIN

Brad Schmidt and Raul Arevalo, CADET

Chris Gelinas, CG

Becca McCharen, CHROMAT

David Hart, DAVID HART
