ANTHONY VACCARELLO on hold while at SAINT LAURENT, A Look Back at The Campaigns and Runway of the Designer

Designer Anthony Vaccarello, whose first outing for Kering owned Saint Laurent takes place on September 27th, has put his namesake label on hold.

The label, founded in 2008 by the 36-year-old Belgian, had grown to 100 accounts including Colette, Browns, Bergdorf Goodman, and Net-a-porter.com. The last season of deliveries is fall 2016. All of Vaccarello’s employees have been engaged by Saint Laurent. And in addition to keeping talent the designer kept his timeslot on the first day of Paris Fashion Week converting it to showcase his Saint Laurent debut collection.

Vaccarello has been know for his sharpness not only in styling but also in imagery, engaging Parisian artist director Franck Durand of Agency Atelier Franck Durand and power photographer duo Inez van Lamsweerde & Vinoodh Matador for his campaigns of the last 3 years.

The Impression loves the focus of a lead creative but will also miss the cutting edge of both the runway and ad campaigns of the house. Here in anticipation of his Saint Laurent debut, we take a look back at some of the best of campaigns, backstage, details, and runway from the ‘temporarily on hold’ house of Anthony Vaccarello.
