Versace CEO Gian Giacomo Ferraris Exits
Gian Giacomo Ferraris is departing as CEO of Milan based Versace. Ferraris joined Versace in 2009 from Jil Sander where he was CEO. Prior to that, Ferraris was Managing Director of the RTW division of Gucci Group overseeing Gucci, YSL, Balenciaga, Stella McCartney, Alexander McQueen, and Bottega Veneta. Prior to the Gucci Group, he had his first position at Jil Sander in 1994, when he joined the group in Germany as C.O.O., launching the men’s collection in 1997.
Jonathan Akeroyd Appointed CEO Versace
Versace has tapped Jonathan Akeroyd as its new CEO. Akeroyd joins Versace from Alexander McQueen where he served as CEO since 2004. Prior to that, Aneroid served at London luxury department store Harrods.
Malo Tapped Fabio Leoncini CEO
Malo has tapped Fabio Leoncini as CEO to globally expand the brand. Previously, Leoncini served Loro Piana as COO of the luxury goods division for 17 years. Prior to that Leoncini held the posts of CEO at Byblos and Senior Associate at Booz Allen & Hamilton.
Debenhams Appoints Sergio Bucher as CEO
Debenhams has tapped Sergio Bucher as CEO. Bucher joins the firm from Amazon Fashion Europe where he served as VP. Prior to joining Amazon, Bucher held various General Manager role sat Puma, Nike and Inditex. He began his career as a Business Analyst at DuPont.
Matthieu Caloni joins Galeries Lafayette
Galeries Lafayette has appointed Matthieu Caloni as Strategy and Transformation Director of its Galeries Lafayette and BHV Marais department stores. Recently, Caloni was Director of Strategy and Development for French jewelry retailer, Thom Europe. Prior to that, he was a Principal at Boston Consulting Group and also held various positions in the wine and spirits division of LVMH Moët Hennessy Louis Vuitton.
Kristin Scott joins Hollister as Brand President
Kristin Scott has been appointed Brand President of Hollister Co. Scott was previously General Merchandise Manager of Victoria’s Secret for the past nine years. Prior to that Scott was a VP GMM at Gap. Scott began her career at Target in 1989 holding various roles including VP MM.
Danielle Sherman Departs Edun as Creative Director
Danielle Sherman has stepped down after three years as Creative Director of Edun, to pursue other career opportunities. Prior, she was Design Director and Head Designer of T by Alexander Wang and co-founded The Row.
Mark Taylor Exits Aquascutum COO
Mark Taylor will step down as COO at Aquascutum in July to pursue other opportunities. CEO Andrew Chan will take over Taylor’s duties until a successor is found. Previously, Taylor worked at Juicy Couture as Finance Director. Prior to that, Taylor held various roles at Cabbages and Roses and Jigsaw.
Marchon Eyewear Promotes Nicola Zotta President
Nicola Zotta has been promoted to President of Marchon Eyewear. Zotta has been with Marchon since 2009 and was previously Managing Director of EMEA and APAC. Prior to joining Marchon, Zotta worked at Safilo Group for almost 15 years holding various roles in the firm.
Cédric Charbit, previously Director of Product Strategy at YSL, is now named EVP of Marketing and Product and Worldwide Communications Director at the firm.
Philippe Contini, previously Deputy Communications Director at Dior Homme, is now Associate Worldwide Communication Director at YSL.
Chico’s Appoints Susan Lanigan EVP
Chico’s FAS Inc. has named Susan Lanigan EVP and General Counsel. She was previously Chair of the Tennessee Education Lottery Commission. Prior to that, she served as EVP and General Counsel of Dollar General from 2002 to 2013.
Abercrombie & Fitch Appoints Stacia Andersen Brand President
Stacia Andersen has been appointed Brand President of Abercrombie & Fitch and Abercrombie Kids. She was previously SVP of Merchandising of Target Corporation a firm she joined in 1994.
Tom Peddie, previously VP General Manager of Emerging Markets at Nike, is now VP General Manager of Integrated Marketplace North America at the firm.
Christophe Merkel, previously General Manager Nike Turkey at Nike, is now VP General Manager of Nike Japan.
Ann Hebert, previously VP Sales and Customer Service at Nike, is now VP General Manager of Emerging Markets at the firm.
Phil McCartney, previously VP of Global Running Footwear at Nike, is now VP General Manager of Nike Footwear.
Jim Reynolds, previously General Manager at Nike Japan, is now General Manager of Athletic Specialty at Nike.
Iesha Reed, previously Communications Director for North America at Montblanc, is no longer with the firm.
Neil Breakwell, previously Deputy Editor at BBC Newsnight, is now London Bureau Chief at Vice.

Vice Media has appointed Executive Creative Director Ciel Hunter to the role of Head of Content. Hunter began her career as an intern and moved up to become Lead Creative Director of The Creators Project, Vice’s branded content channel with Intel on arts and culture.
Sylvana Ward Durrett Departs Vogue
Sylvana Ward Durrett is leaving her position as Director of Special Projects at Vogue to start her own firm. Durrett began her career as Anna Wintour’s assistant in 2009 and worked her way up at the Condé Nast publication.
Richard Dorment, previously Senior Editor at Esquire, is now Senior Editor at Wired.
Olga Montserrat, previously Senior Art Director at Edelman, is now Senior Art Director, platforms at Wired.
Nate Goldman, previously Manager at New York Magazine, is now Social Media Manager at Wired.

Penske Media Corp. has appointed George Grobar COO. Previously, Grobar was EVP for PMC, which owns WWD, Variety, Footwear News, Deadline, Indiewire, TVLine, Hollywood Life, Gold Derby and Variety Latino. Prior to PMC, Grobar spent thirteen years at The Walt Disney Company.
