Christine Beauchamp Tapped by Amazon Fashion As President
Amazon Fashion has named Christine Beauchamp as President of the e-commerce firm following the recent departure of Cathy Beaudoin. Beauchamp most recently was a Senior Advisor for The Boston Consulting Group who she joined a year ago following a year long stint at Ralph Laurent where she was Global Band President: Lauren, Chaps, American Living, and Ralph. The Goldman Sachs investment banker turned consultant was tapped by a client, Limited Brands to work on Express and Victoria’s Secret; in 2005. She went on to become CEO of Victoria’s Secret Beauty. In 2008 she joined Ann Inc., as Brand President of Ann Taylor where she served for 4 years prior to becoming a founding Partner of investment firm Protea in 2013.
Theory Appoints Siddhartha Shukla as Chief Merchandising Officer
After serving as Theory’s Chief Marketing Officer for over three years, Siddhartha Shukla takes on a new role as their Chief Merchandising Officer where he will be managing product strategy for the global brand. Before his time at Theory, Shukla worked as Vice President of Marketing and Communications at Reed Krakoff, and prior to that he acted at the Global Communications Director at Yves Saint Laurent. Shukla started his career in 2000 working as the Public Relations Director for Gucci America.
Theory Names J.D. Ostrow as Chief Marketing Officer
Succeeding Siddhartha Shukla as Chief Marketing Officer at Theory is J.D. Ostrow who will now be responsible for strategizing the world-wide brand’s communications. Ostrow joins from Burberry where he held many leadership positions including SVP of Emerging Marketing. Prior to Burberry, Ostrow worked at Nike and The Donna Karan Company.
Theory Taps Martin Andersson as Creative Director for Menswear
Martin Andersson has been selected to be Theory’s new Creative Director for Menswear, succeeding Ben Stubbington who left last year for Lululemon. Previously, Andersson worked as Head of Menswear Design at COS, a subsidiary of H&M. Prior to that he acted as a Senior Designer of British luxury brand Aquascutum.
Lynn Shanahan, previously CEO at Kellwood Co., is now CEO at Capezio.
Bruno Magli Names Scott Prentice as President of North America Operations
Scott Prentice, who previously worked for Bruno Magli from 1995 – 2005, has been named President of the Italian brand’s North American branch. Prentice most recently served as VP Calvin Klein Footwear where he worked for four years. Prior to that, Prentice was Director of North American Operations for Bally for three years.
Rob Silsbury Joins The Dune Group as E-Commerce and Marketing Director
The Dune Group has tapped Rob Silsbury to fill their newly created position of E-Commerce and Marketing Director. Silsbury joins from Ralph Lauren where he acted as Senior Director of Marketing and E-Commerce and also served as Interim SVP of Digital and E-Commerce. Prior to that, Silsbury worked at Tiffany and Co. as the E-Commerce Director for European operations.
Grit Seymour Steps Down as Wolford’s Creative Director
Grit Seymour leaves the Austrian hosiery brand Wolford after three years as Creative Director. Prior to her time there, Seymour worked designing for a portfolio of brands including Hugo Boss, Donna Karan and Max Mara. Seymour now teaches Fashion Design at the HTW Berlin – University of Applied Sciences.
Dominique Conseli, Global Brand President at Aveda, has announced plans to retire.
Barbara De Laere, previously Global Sr. VP & General Manager at Aveda, has been promoted to Global Brand President at the firm.
Peter Lichtenthal, Global Brand President at Bumble and Bumble and Bobbi Brown, has announced plans to retire in January 2018.
Alice Hampton, previously Senior Director, Global PR at UGG, is now Vice President of Global Communications at Shiseido Americas.Ciarra Lee, previously Public Relations Manager at Robert Marc, has left the company.
Hearst Names Shalaeya Brown and Samantha Roman as Associate Fashion Editors
Shalaeya Brown and Samantha Roman have been named Associate Fashion Editors across multiple women’s publications by Hearst. Brown and Roman will now edit for Cosmopolitan, Seventeen, Redbook, Good Housekeeping and Woman’s Day. Before their promotions, Brown served as a Fashion Marketing Assistant for Cosmopolitan and Seventeen, while Roman was an Assistant Fashion Editor at Good Housekeeping.
Tristan Taylor Named Condé Nast UK’s Head of Branded Content
Tristan Taylor is joining Condé Nast UK and filling their newly created role as Head of Branded Content. Previously, Taylor worked as a Senior Partnership Strategist for AOL advertising. Prior to that, he worked in an array of executive and managerial positions for Channel 5, The Telegraph Media Group, News International, and The Independent.
Advance Names Janine McGrath Shelffo As Chief Strategy Officer
Janine McGrath Shelffo is joining Advance Publications in the newly created role as Chief Strategy and Development Officer. Shelffo joins the firm from UBS Investment Bank where she was Co-Head of Technology, Media and Telecom in the Americas for eight years. Prior to that she was a Managing Director at Lehman Brothers.
Richard Bean, previously International Director at Maxim, is now Director of International Licensing and Business Development at Hearst Magazines International.
Amanda Weiner Alagem, previously Executive Accessories Editor at Harper’s Bazaar, is now Accessories Director.

Jason Wu to Combine Resort and Spring Runway Shows
Instead of Jason Wu’s resort collection being shown this late May – early June season, the show will be combined with Wu’s spring show debuting in September. Wu is also merging his pre-fall and fall shows together, meaning that instead of four Wu shows per year, there will now only be two.
Band of Outsiders to Show Spring 2018 at London Fashion Week Men’s
For the second outing of creative team Daniel Hettmann and Angelo Van Mol, Bando Of Outsiders will move their collection from Paris to London for their Spring 2018 showing to take place June 11th.
