After months of speculation, Creative Director Hedi Slimane is parting ways with Kering owned Saint Laurent. Slimane held the role of Saint Laurent Creative and Image Director since March 2012. Under his direction the house enjoyed a holistic reform turning the collection into Kering’s most successful growth story during that time.
Simon Spurr Out as Design Director at Gieves & Hawkes
Just five months at the helm, Design Director Simon Spurr is parting way with Trinity run Gieves & Hawkes. Trinity, a division of Hong Kong-based Fung Group which owns Gieves & Hawkes, as well as Kent & Kurwen and Cerruti 1881, previously partner with Spurr on Kent & Kurwen where Spurr was Creative Director.
Mark Frost Named Design Director at Gieves & Hawkes
Trinity division of Fung Group has tapped Mark Frost as Design Director at Gieves & Hawkes. Frost was previously Head of design at Gieves & Hawkes having joined the brand four years ago. Prior to that he held roles at Tom Ford and Hackett

Gucci America has named Susan Chokachi as President, CEO of Gucci America. Chokachi was previously SVP Marketing and Communications and help various roles since joining Gucci in 1998.
American Apparel Names Paul Charron as Chairman of Board
Los Angeles based American Apparel has tapped Paul Charron as Chairman of the Board. Charron was previously Chairman and CEO of Liz Claiborne for 12 years and joins the seven member board which also includes American Apparel CEO Paula Schneider.
Susan Davidson Named to American Apparel Board
Current CEO of both Scoop and designer brand Zac Posen, Susan Davidson, has been named to the board of American Apparel. Prior to Scoop and Posen, Davidson held various roles at Liz Claiborne including Group President and President DKNY Jeans.
Bruce Fetter Appointed to American Apparel Board
Current CEO/COO of St. John Knits, Bruce Fetter, has been named to the American Apparel board. Fetter has held various roles at St. John’s Knits and started his career at Bob’s Stores.

Revlon Board of Directors has named Fabian Garcia as CEO and President. Garcia previously was COO Global Innovation and Growth for Colgate-Palmolive Co., where for the past 13 years he held various roles. UK based retailer Bonmarché, has named Helen Connolly as CEO. Connolly was previously Sr. Buying Director at for Asda for the George brand. Prior to that she held various buying roles at Dorothy Perkins and Next Group.

Fab.com Founder, Bradford Shellhammer, has been appointed Head of Curation & Merchandising and member Innovation Team at San Francisco based EBay. He also founded New York City-based e-commerce start-up, Bezar, and served as Chief Executive Officer.

CNN has announced it would be reviving their style coverage with Derek Blasberg as host. From 1980 to 2001, CNN covered fashion via “Style with Elsa Klensch”. The new show has cast Blasberg to cover fashion, art, auto, architecture and design. The first episode will airon April 9th.
