Demsey will add Clinique and the Center of Excellence for Creative to his responsibilities, which include Aramis and Designer Fragrances, Prescriptives, MAC Cosmetics, Bobbi Brown, Jo Malone London, Bumble and Bumble, Tom Ford, Smashbox, Rodin olio lusso, Le Labo, Editions de Parfums Frederic Malle and Glamglow.

Jane Hertzmark Hudis Promoted to Group President at Estée Lauder
Estée Lauder Cos. Inc. has promoted Jane Hertzmark Hudis from Global Brand President to Group President. Hudis, who served as Global Brand President since 2009, will continue to oversee Aerin while adding La Mer, Darphin, Origins and Aveda to her duties. Previously Hudis served as President of Origins as well as Beauty Bank, a division she founded in 2003 to develop new concepts.

James Seuss Steps Down as Hunter CEO to become CEO of The Rug Company
James Seuss has step down as CEO of London-based brand Hunter to become CEO of The Rug Company. Prior to joining Hunter, Seuss served as CEO of Tourneau LLC, and was CEO at Cole Haan. He previously held top management positions at Gucci Group, Harry Winston Diamond Corp., and Tiffany & Co. Christopher Sharp, who currently serves as CEO of The Rug Company, will remain as a non-executive board director.

Hair-care,  salon, and fragrance portfolio, Fekkai Brands and Luxe Brands, has tapped Joel B. Ronkin as CEO. Ronkin, who spent 16 years in various roles at Elizabeth Arden Inc., will seat on December 1st.

As part of the management resuffle in the wake of the merger at Yoox Net-a-porter Group, Stephanie Phair is leaving the firm after six years at the helm. Phair’s duties will be split and assumed by Shira Suveyke, VP Global Buying Director and Andres Sosa, Global Sales and Marketing Director.

Caroline Andersson has been named CEO of Sandqvist. Andersson will replace current CEO and founder of the Swedish accessories brand, Anton Sandqvist, who will step down at the end of the year. Prior to joining Sandqvist, Andersson served as Commercial Manager of Craft Sportswear.

Condé Nast Closes Details Magazine
After 33 years in business, Condé Nast owned men’s lifestyle magazine, Details, will shutter their business after the December/January 2015/2016 issue. The publication was founded as an avant-garde magazine covering the downtown Manhattan scene and purchased by Condé Nast in 1998. Editor-in-Chief Dan Peres, and Publisher and Chief Revenue Officer Drew Schutte will be leaving Condé Nast.

Brendan Monaghan is now Publisher and Chief Revenue Officer of Condé Nast Traveler.

InStyle Taps Faye Penn Editorial Projects Director
Founder of online magazine ‘Brokelyn’ and former Executive Editor of the Observer, Faye Penn has been named Editorial Projects Director of InStyle. Penn will report to Ariel Foxman, Editorial Director of InStyle and People StyleWatch. Previously, Penn served as Features Editor for the New York Post and New York Magazine.

Self Magazine Publisher Mary Murcko Exits
Mary Murcko, who took on publishing duties at Condé Nast’s Self magazine almost two years ago, is leaving due to corporate restructuring. Her duties will be absorbed by Glamour’s Publisher and Chief Revenue Officer Connie Anne Phillips, who will oversee both titles. Prior to Self, Murcko was President of Sales at Gannett and held various roles at Rodale, including EVP/Group Publisher.
