Frederica Marchionni Departs Land’s End as CEO
Lands’ End and CEO/President Frederica Marchionni are parting ways. Marchionni is widely credited with updating the iconic American brand’s image, helping to down age the core adult consumer, validate a stand alone retail strategy, reaffirm their activewear positioning, revamp their website and catalogs, and on board a strong team including Chief Merchandising and Design Officer Joseph Boitano. Her departure which comes after 19 months at the helm and marks the second CEO turnover since since Lands’ End was spun off in 2014 from Sears Holdings Corp.. Prior to joining Lands’ End, Marchionni served as President of Dolce & Gabbana US, prior to that she held various leadership roles at Ferrari, Ericsson, Philips, and Samsung.

Bottega Veneta has appointed Claus-Dietrich Lahrs as Chief Executive Officer. Lahrs previously worked as Chief Executive Officer of Hugo Boss until February 2016. Prior to that, he held senior positions at luxury brands including Cartier, Louis Vuitton and Christian Dior Couture.

Beretta was previously Senior Merchandising Manager Retail Development Director at Ermenegildo Zegna for a total of 11 years. Prior to that, Beretta was the menswear Brand Manager at Valentino.

Vetements has named Nina Nitsche as Collection Director. Prior to this, Nitsche worked at Maison Margiela, for almost 20 years, starting under founder Martin Margiela as his first assistant and later as the Lead Designer.

Carrie Fisher has been appointed to Senior Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer for Neiman Marcus Group. Fisher joins from Fossil Group, where she served as Senior Vice President, Chief Marketing Officer and head of e-commerce. Prior to this, Fisher worked at Bain & Company as Manager for 3 years.

Jason Brown has been appointed to President Japan at Anya Hindmarch, replacing former President Masayoshi Kitada. Brown has over 25 years experience in managerial positions for brands including the LVMH-owned jewelry label Fred Jason, Saint Laurent and Hermès.
