Lanvin Taps Olivier Lapidus as Artistic Director
Following the departure of Bouchra Jarrar, Lanvin has found their next Artistic Director in Olivier Lapidus. Lapidus joins from his father’s namesake label, Ted Lapidus where he was head of the French fashion house. while also exploring the endeavor of forming the industry’s first web-based couture house. Lapidus is expected to debut his first collection for Lanvin this September during Spring 2018 shows.

Shira Sue Carmi

Shira Sue Carmi Joins Mansur Gavriel as President
Mansur Gavriel has found their new President in Shira Sue Carmi, who joins the leather handbag label as they expand into ready to wear clothing. Carmi joins from a background of marketing and brand management, previously working at Banana Republic and Avon. In 2005, Carmi also started Launch Collective, her own NYC-based business management consultancy.

Alessandro Bogliolo

Tiffany & Co. Appoints Alessandro Bogliolo as CEO
Effective this October, Alessandro Bogliolo will take on the role of Chief Executive Officer at Tiffany & Co. Bogliolo joins from Diesel where we acted as Group CEO for 4 years. Prior to that, Bogliolo was COO of Sephora’s North American Operations, and before that he was Group COO of Bulgari for 16 years.

Susan Jurevics

Susan Jurevics Joins Bare Escentuals Beauty as President
Susan Jurevics has been tapped as President of Bare Escentuals, a position which includes overseeing growth and development for one of the group’s largest beauty brands, bareMinerals. Previously, Jurevics was CEO and Board Director at Pottermore, J.K. Rowling’s interactive Harry Potter site. Prior to that, Jurevics was SVP at Sony.

Escada Taps Marco Raab as Marketing and Communications VP
German luxury brand Escada has appointed Marco Raab as their new Marketing and Communications VP. Raab previousy worked at Red Bull since 2008, most recently serving as Global Marketing Manager for Project and Innovation.

Edward Record Departs as JC Penny CFO
Chief Financial Officer of JC Penny Edward Record is stepping down from the department store giant, but will remain until August to ensure a smooth transition. Chief Accounting Officer Andrew Drexler will serve as interim CFO.

35 year veteran of Fairchild Media James Fallon has been promoted to Editorial Director, where his responsibilities will include advancing collaborations among Fairchild’s publications which include Women’s Wear Daily, FN, and Beauty Inc. Before his promotion, Fallon was Editor for WWD which grew to its largest paid readership during his tenure.

Ben Court, previously Deputy Editor at Rodale Inc., has been tapped as Deputy Editor of Cross Platform Content at Men’s Health.

John Lonsdale, previously Assistant Editor at MensJournal.com, has been appointed Online Style, Grooming and Gear Editor.

Michael Solita, previously Art Director at Fortune, has been named Senior Art Director at Men’s Health.

Altuzarra Fall 2017 Backstage

Altruzarra To Show in Paris for Spring 2018 Season
Joseph Altruzarra has decided to move his fashion show from New York to Paris to show his spring 2018 collection. Altruzarra grew up in Paris, and has decided to return to his hometown for Fashion Week. Altruzarra is the fourth American designer to move camp to Paris for Fashion Week, along with Thom Browne, Rodarte, and Proenza Schouler.
