Lanvin Names Bouchra Jarrar as Creative Director
The house of Lanvin, who last October parted ways after 14 years with designer Alber Elbaz, has announced that Bouchra Jarrar will step into the role of Creative Director. Jarrar founded her own namesake label in 2010, having previously worked 15 years in the industry including Balenciaga, where she was Studio Director under Nicolas Ghesquière, as well as Christian Lacroix, where she was Head of Couture Design. Her first collection will be Spring 2017 and shown in Paris this fall.

Hector Muelas Departs DKNY as Chief Image Officer
Hector Muelas, Chief Image Officer of LVMH-owned Donna Karan International (DKI) is parting ways with the firm after less than a year. Muelas was brought on board as the firm shuttered their designer collection to focus on DKNY and onboard new creative directors Dao-Yi Chow and Maxwell Osborne. Muelas was previously Creative Director of Worldwide Marketing Communications for Apple.

Yeezy, the sportswear and footwear brand by Kanye West, has named Pete Fox as President. Fox previously served as CEO of American motocross label Fox Head Inc., which was sold to Altamonte Capital partners in 2014.

George Cleary Named Elizabeth Arden President of Global Fragrances
Elizabeth Arden has tapped George Cleary as President of Global Fragrances. Previously Cleary was CEO at beauty brand Iluminage. Prior to joining Iluminage Beauty, he served as President of Coty Beauty Americas and before joining Coty, Cleary spent 15 years with Johnson & Johnson.

Mulberry Names Neil James Ritchie as Group Finance Director
London-based designer lifestyle brand Mulberry has named Neil James Ritchie as Group Finance Director. Ritchie recently served as Global Commercial Finance Director of Britain’s Dyson Group, where he spent 14 years with the firm.

American Eagle Outfitters CFO Mary Boland Retires
American Eagle Outfitters’ CFO, Mary Boland, will retire in April. The company’s Chief Accounting Officer, Scott Hurd, will assume the role of interim CFO. Boland joined American Eagle in 2012 after six years as SVP of Finance and Distribution at Levi Strauss & Co., and two years as General Motors Corp.’s North America CFO.

Michael Ward to Step Down as Managing Director of Harrods
After 11 years at the role, Michael Ward will step down as Managing Director of London-based department store Harrods. A successor has not been named. Earlier this year Ward was named Chairman of Walpole, the alliance of British luxury brands that includes Alexander McQueen, Burberry, Jimmy Choo and Mulberry. Ward is also serving his second term as President of the European Creative and Cultural Industries Alliance.

Kering-owned Boucheron has appointed Cyril Cabellos as Global Communications Director; he will be responsible for all media, digital and image activities for the house. Previously Cabellos was Content Director at Kering. Prior to that he was Global Communications Director of Carven and held various positions at Dior Homme and Saint Laurent.

US based Estée Lauder Cos. Inc. has appointed Janet Saunders for the new position of VP/GM commercial. Saunders will manage strategic retailer relationships, corporate and brand capabilities and selling effectiveness. Previously Saunders served as VP/GM of Clinique, Darphin and Origins.

Estée Lauder Cos. Inc. has appointed Rachel Baker as VP/GM Clinique and Men’s Skin Care. Baker was previously VP/GM for Jo Malone London, and prior to that held various roles at Tom Ford and the Estée Lauder brand.

Arati Nar, previously Head of Customer Acquisition at Ocado, is now Marketing Director at Milk Beauty.

Joseph Suchodolski, previously Account Executive, Men’s at BPCM, is now PR and Marketing Manager at Scotch&Soda.

Valances is replacing Jay Fielden, who is to helm Esquire. Since 2014, Volandes has been the magazine’s Executive Style Director, and  previously held various other roles at T&C, including Jewelry and Accessories Editor and Style Director. Prior to T&C, she was Style Editor at Departures.

After 17 years at Vanity Fair, Deputy Editor Punch Hutton is stepping down. Hutton joined Vanity Fair in 1998 as an Assistant to Editor Graydon Carter. Hutton most recently served as Deputy Editor.
