Tom Joule, CEO and founder of the clothing brand Joules, has stepped down from his role in order to focus on the brand’s creative design. Managing Director of Joules, Colin Porter, has been promoted to its new CEO. Prior to Joules, Porter served as Joint Managing Director at Crombie and spent 10 years at House of Fraser.

Italian based holding company Aeffe, parent of Moschino, Pollini, and Alberta Ferretti, has appointed Lorenzo Panerai as COO of Pollini. Panerai was previously Director of Leather Goods at Prada.

Julian Burnett has joined British retailer House of Fraser as Chief Information Officer. Burnett was previously Chief Technology Officer at John Lewis and will replace Peter Marsden, interim Chief Information Officer. He will report to Chief Executive Nigel Oddy and join the executive committee.

J.C. Penney has appointed John Tighe as its new Chief Merchant. Recruited as a buyer in 2002, Tighe was promoted to Divisional VP and later served as SVP and Senior General Merchandise Manager for the men’s, children’s, footwear, handbag and intimate apparel divisions.
