Burberry Promotes Rebecca Martinez to VP of PR, Events, and Entertainment Relations
Rebecca Martinez moves up at Burberry to the newly created role of VP of PR, Events, and Entertainment Relations. Martinez joined Burberry in 2005, and has held positions with the house across the globe from London, to Shanghai to Hong Kong, most recently serving as Global PR Director. In her new position, Martinez will oversee direction and global strategic management of all Burberry’s earned media including PR, events, and VIP programs. Martinez reports to Sarah Manley, Burberry’s Chief Marketing Officer, and is based in Burberry’s London HQ at Horseferry House.

Sheri McCoy Steps Down as Avon CEO
Sheri McCoy is set to depart from her position as CEO of Avon Products Inc. effective March 31st, 2018. McCoy has acted as CEO of the direct selling company since 2012, and is also on the Board of Partnership for New York, Catalyst, and youth non-profit FIRST. The move comes after recent turbulence at Avon, as the brand is in the midst of a three-year turn around plan under McCoy which lowered the company’s debt by $260 million and produced $120 million in cost savings.

Lavinia Biagiotti Cigna Named CEO of Biagiotti Group
After 20 years of working on her family’s Rome-based fashion house and serving as VP since 2005, Lavinia Biagiotti Cigna is stepping up as CEO. She succeeds her mother, Laura Biagiotti, after her passing away this past May. Biagiotti Cigna’s grandmother, Delia Biagotti founded the atelier in the 60s and was later taken mainstream global by her mother, Laura. Biagiotti Cigna is set to focus on continuity and development for the brand, their next show presenting in Milan on September 24th.

Michele Norsa Joins Board of Biagiotti Group as VP
Noted Italian Fashion Manager Michele Norsa is joining the Board of the Biagiotti Group as VP. Norsa is a friend of new CEO Lavinia Biagiotti Cigna from their time shared serving on the Board of Camera della Mode. Norsa’s portfolio of experience includes a decade long tenure as CEO of Salvatore Ferragamo, General Director of Valentino Fashion Group S.p.A., VP of the Executive Committee System Moda Italia, and President of Marzotto USA and Marzotto France.

Michael Kors Taps Sabine Ruello as VP of Footwear & Accessories, EMEA
Sabine Ruello has joined Michael Kors as their new VP of Footwear and Accessories Wholesale for Europe, Middle East, and Africa branches of the brand. Ruello joins from Burberry, where she worked since 2007, most recently serving as the Director of Wholesale in Northern EMEA. Prior to that, Ruello worked in managing buyer positions for Sarenza, Polo Ralph Lauren, and Yves Saint Laurent.

Michael Kors Taps Marc Svojanovsky as VP of Menswear, EMEA
Marc Svojanovsky has joined Michael Kors has their new VP of Menswear Wholesale in Europe, Middle East, and Africa. Previously, Svojanovsky worked at the VF Corporation since 1995, first as a Key Account Manager for Wrangler Denim, all the way up to Senior Director of Sales for Wrangler EMEA.

Juicy Couture Appoints Jamie Mizrahi to Creative Director
Celebrity stylist Jamie Mizrahi, whose clients include Katy Perry, Suki Waterhouse, and Nicole Richie, is joining Juicy Couture as Creative Director. Mizrahi took up a consulting role with Juicy Couture last year, aiding the brand in finding their footing with the millennial market. Her premier collection will be for Spring 2018.

DFS Group Names Nelson Mui VP of Global Fashion Merchandising and Trends
Nelson Mui has been tapped as VP of Global Merchandising and Fashion Trends at Hong-Kong-based luxury retailer DFS. Mui joins from Hudson Bay where he was VP and Men’s Fashion Director. He has also had a 17 year career as a Freelance Writer with his articles on fashion, culture, and travel have been published in The New York Times, New York Magazine, and National Geographic Traveler.

Linda Levy, Omni Group VP and DMM for Fragrances at Macy’s, has been named President of The Fragrance Foundation.

Effective September 5th, David Stuckey will act as VP of Reventure for GQ and GQ Style. His new role will include driving revenue for both publications. Previously, Stuckey worked at Vogue since 2010 most recently serving as their VP of Revenue.
