Apple Hires Marc Newson
One of the most influential designers of his generation Marc Newson joins Apple. Close friends with Apple’s senior vice president of design Jony Ive for years, Newson will bring his design expertise to Ive’s team. Based in the United Kingdom, Newson will travel to Apple’s Cupertino, California headquarters in his new role. Newson has worked across a wide range of disciplines and collaborated with Qantas Airways, Nike, Lanvin, Renault, Motorola, and Jaeger-LeCoultre. Newson joins Apple along with other high-profile individuals from outside the technology industry including Angela Ahrendts, former Burberry chief executive, and Paul Deneve, former Yves Saint Laurent chief executive.
