Brendon Babenzien Resigns as Creative Director of Supreme
Brendon Babenzien, has resigned as Creative Director of skate brand Supreme. Babenzien, previous founder of shuttered brand Noah, is relaunching the brand after a 7-year hiatus. This will be the second time Babenzien has left the company – he left Supreme in 2002 to start Noah.
Zadig & Voltaire Brings in Paulo Melim Andersson
Paulo Melim Andersson, former Creative Director for Marni and Chloé, joins Zadig & Voltaire to co-design womenswear and accessories with Cecilia Bönström, current Artistic Director.
Donald Blair, Nike CFO, Announces Retirement
CFO of Nike Inc. since 1999, Donald Blair, plans to retire on July 31st. Prior to joining Nike, Blair served different finance roles with PepsiCo in the U.S. and Asia. Blair will continue his role as CFO through July when his successor, Andrew Campion, will enter the position. Andrew Campion, SVP of Finance, Strategy, and Investor Relations of Nike, joined Nike in 2007 after serving at Walt Disney Co.
Mark Hoplamazian Elected to VF Corp’s Board of Directors
President and CEO of Hyatt Hotels Corp., Mark Hoplamazian, is now a member of VF Corp’s board of directors. Hoplamazian was appointed to President and CEO of Hyatt Hotels Corp. in 2006 after serving The Pritzker Organization LLC as the principal financial and investment advisor. The VF Corp’s board of directors grows to 13 members, all of whom are independent, with the exception of Eric Wiseman, Chairman, President, and CEO of VF Corp.
Belk names Scott Kessler as Chief Information Officer
Scott Kessler, former SVP of Omnichannel Solutions Delivery, has been appointed as CIO of Belk. Kessler succeeds Mike Laurenti, who is now with Delhaize Group. Prior to joining Belk, Kessler served 10 years as SVP of Products Technology with GSI Commerce.
Ascena appoints Robb Giammatteo CFO
Robb Giammatteo, former SVP of Financial Planning and Analysis and Investor Relations, has been promoted to CFO of Ascena Retail Group, Inc. Giammatteo will succeed Dirk Montgomery, who resigned the previous summer due to personal reasons. As CFO, Giammatteo will report to David Jaffe, President and CEO. He has served as VP of Corporate Financial Planning and Analysis at VF Corp as well as serving in positions with Limited Brands, Inc. and General Motors.
Rae Ann Herman named VP Fashion Director Accessories at Saks Fifth Avenue
Saks Fifth Avenue has tapped Rae Ann Herman, former Contributing Editor for Harper’s Bazaar and Condé Nast Traveler, to be the firm’s new VP Fashion Director Accessories. Herman previously covered the accessories market as the Accessories Director for Glamour magazine for 10 years.

Sally Scott, former Marketing Director of Value Retail, has been appointed as U.K. Managing Director of Vente-Privee, an online flash sales site. Prior to serving as Marketing Director of Value Retail, Scott served as Marketing Director of Selfridges from 2005 through 2011. She will report to Jacques-Antoine Granjon, founder and President of Vente-Privee.com, and will oversee the site’s business-to-business and business-to-consumer activities in the U.K.
L.K. Bennett Appoints Tracy Stone as Group Commercial Director
Tracy Stone, previously Global Sales and Distribution Director of Gant AB, will join L.K. Bennett as Group Commercial Director. Stone will be responsible for the commercial vision and strategy of its retail channels. Previously, Stone has held positions as managing director at Gant for six years, head of beauty at House Fraser, as well as sales and retail director at Space NK. Stone will be reporting directly to Robert Bensoussan, CEO of L.K. Bennett.

Dan Wakeford, former Editor-in-Chief of both In Touch Weekly and Life & Style Weekly, has been named Deputy Editor of PEOPLE. The British native, Wakeford was part of the launch of Hello! Magazine’s website as well as working with Grazia, Yahoo, and Time Out. During his seven years with In Touch Weekly and Life & Style Weekly, Wakeford oversaw editorial direction and content strategy.
