Gucci Confirms Alessandro Michele as Creative Director
Italian luxury house Gucci named their previous head of accessory design at the house, Alessandro Michele, as the brand’s new Creative Director. Michele succeeds previous Creative Director Frida Giannini who recently left the company after eight years at the helm along with CEO Patrizio di Marco. Michele, 42, has been with Gucci since 2002 and had previously worked with Giannini at Fendi as Senior Accessories Designer. Michele will present his first womenswear show during Milan Fashion Week on February 25.
Anthony Vaccarello Joins Versus as Creative Director of Versus
After a season of partnering as a collaborator, Versus Versace has appointed Anthony Vaccarello its new Creative Director. The Paris-based Vaccarello, who founded his namesake collection in 2008, will continue to design his line as well as be responsible for Versus men’s and women’s collections reporting to Donatella Versace. Vaccarello’s first work as Creative Director will be the fall/winter 2015 collection.
Adam Andrascik appointed Creative Director of Guy Laroche
Adam Andrascik replaces Marcel Marongiu as Creative Director of Guy Laroche and will unveil his first collection for the label on March 4 during Paris Fashion Week. Andrascik namesake brand will be put on hold.
Catherine Vautrin appointed Chairman and CEO of Paule Ka
Previous CEO of Cerruti, Catherine Vautrin, has been named the Chairman and CEO of French womenswear brand Paule Ka. Vautrin replaces founder Serge Cajfinger, who was both Paule Ka’s CEO and Creative Director and left the firm six months ago. Antoine Bing, who was previously CEO and Interim Chairman at Paule Ka, has left the company.
Heather A. Vandenberghe, EVP of Marketing Tommy Hilfiger Americas has Resigned Her Post
After three years as EVP Marketing and Communications at Tommy Hilfiger, the Americas, Heather A. Vandenberghe, is leaving her post at the end of the month. Previously Vandenberghe was SVP of Marketing and Communication at Louis Vuitton for 10 years. Hilfiger will be replacing the position.
Eugenia Gonzalez, previously VP at Michael Bastian, has left the company.
Barnabé Hardy, currently Founder at Barnabé Hardy, is now Men’s Designer at Carven.
Marc Crossman, previously President and CEO at Joe’s Jeans, has left the company.
Samuel Joseph Furrow Jr., previously CEO at Innovo Group, is now interim CEO at Joe’s Jeans.
Amy Hsiung, previously Co-founder and Head Designer at Addison, is now Design Director at Quinn.
Kristin DiCunzolo, previously VP of Marketing and communication at Victorinox, is now VP of Marketing and communication at Original Penguin.

Former EVP and CFO of Iconix Brand Group, Warren Clamen, has joined brand management firm, Marquee Brands, as a board member. Marquee Brands recently acquired Bruno Magli for $33.6 million.
