Project that Impressed Us
Prada

Creative Director David James has been a long-standing partner to one of fashion’s most innovative design houses. Together the pair have navigated seventeen years of creating some of fashion’s most memorable, disruptive, and talked-about ad campaigns.

What impresses us is how the pairing has consistently taken calculated risk, blurring boundaries of art and fashion as well as film. In many respects you could say they put the ‘fashion’ in fashion films, investing early in the medium and paving the way for other luxury houses.

While there is clearly a thread of consistency within their campaigns, the art direction has diverse waves from somber to humor. There is often a ‘wink’ with Prada that many a luxury house would be wise to study as Creative Director David James and Prada remind us that life, after all, is beautiful. And so is their work.
