DKNY & Laird+Partners Deliver a Cheeky Good Morning to NYC in Latest Fashion Film
BY WILLIAM MITCHELL
With all the confidence of a true New Yorker, Emily Ratajkowski stars in DKNY’s latest intimates fashion film, taking her dog on its routine morning walk. Trey Laird delivers the fun and flirty film for DKNY, the first intimates campaign since Creative Directors Max Osborne and Dao-Yi Chow’s departure from the brand.
The film, shot by Sebastian Faena, plays a juxtaposed homage to Dean Martin’s “How Do You Like Your Eggs in The Morning.” The song gently hints at a blossoming sexual relationship during a conservative and more simple era. By contrast, the campaign comically portrays Ratajkowski flaunting her sexuality as she greets NY in her lace intimates. Throughout the film, Ratajkowski appears playful, sexy, and most importantly, confident owing to the DKNY underwear she is wearing. Without giving too much away, the 42 second film is captivating and leaves viewers with the desire to see more.
