Our Look at the Five Key Trends of FALL 2016 | – NORDIC HERITAGE
Designers took a trip this season to winter wonderlands with an array of cold weather looks that have us dreaming of the Swiss Alps. These Nordic inspired looks channel aprés-ski influences to create outerwear and knits detailed with argyle, cable-knit, and brightly-colored elements. Designers like Lanvin, J.W. Anderson, and Paco Rabanne showed luscious fur coats while Emilio Pucci more literally interpreted the trend with mountain prints. Dsquared2 went even further by fusing this colorful knit look into an impressive shearling coat, channeling that girl with the boldest entry to the ski resort party. Overall, deisgners excelled with this trend and made us surprisingly excited about cold weather.
