Fendi Goes Places with Debut Men’s Eyewear Campaign Featuring Hopper Pen
BY SAWYER GAINES
Fendi announced their debut men’s eyewear collection with a short video and series of images starring American actor and now model Hopper Penn. 2017 has been a big year for the son of legendary actor Sean Penn as he recently finished filming his new movie War Machine, where he stars alongside Brad Pitt as well as working on another film titled Puppy Love. Now the young Penn can add being the face of Fendi’s first men’s eyewear campaign to his growing resume of accomplishments.
The video is simple and straightforward, but very fun and full of life. It follows Penn as he arrives in Milan decked out in a full Fendi outfit and switching between various pieces of the new eyewear collection as he wanders the streets to a lively hip hop soundtrack from English artist Clement Marfo. Eventually Penn reaches his destination, which is Fendi’s men’s SS17 runway show at Milan fashion week, where he sits front row for the festivities. The still photographs lensed by Adrianno Russo are crisp, clear and do an excellent job of showcasing the new eyewear collection. Overall the new campaign from Fendi is an entertaining and highly enjoyable entry into the world of modern fashion films and is a solid ad campaign featuring a cool up-and-coming talent with serious potential for fame and greatness.
