FONDATION LOUIS VUITTON  Paris | Foundations of Color

Fondation Louis Vuitton is showing its true colors through a temporary kaleidoscope of hues by artist by Daniel Buren.

Developed in close dialogue with the building architect, Frank Gehry, “Observatory of Light” has been installed across the glass “sails”of the museum’s façade. Buren placed coloured filters onto parts of the building’s 3600-piece glass exterior. The resulting colorful signature sails have been illuminated with 13 different filters that now create a transitional colorful form which changes with the time and season.

And it would appear that for Fondation Louis Vuitton, life is really about seeing the world through different color lenses.
