Periodically a photographer and model will form a bond that makes the challenges of creating advertising magic appear effortless. Such is the case with renowned fashion photographer Mario Testino and supermodel Gisele Bündchen who after a successful fall 2014 campaign for Staurt Weitzman return for a stellar second act. You have to hand it to Stuart Weitzman for laying out a vision of his brand that allows room to breathe. His campaigns are built with simplicity and sophistication that others often attempt to emulate but fall short as they cram what should be a spread into a single and inevitably push the footwear instead of the brand with cringe worthy results.
The brand has released its first image of the campaign that will run in the United States, Italy, France, England, Dubai, Germany, Spain and Asia. Along with outdoor advertising in Los Angeles, New York, Milan, Paris and Hong Kong.
The behind-the-scenes video gives a sense of just how relaxed and secure this team is with everyone not only doing their job but enjoying it. As we all know behind-the-scenes videos were invented as a means to maximize the value of a shoot but often result in a snooze fest. Not here as the piece is well edited, short, upbeat, and entertaining. Ultimately the video creates the illusion of an effortless day but we should all know better. Only professionals who are so comfortable in their skin can make the magic of advertising 5 inch heels look so comfortable.
