For any of you that have seen the Fast and Furious movies and wondered if that subculture was for real, Guess has put that question to rest with their recent collaboration with the Gumball 3000.
The Gumball 3000 is essentially an annual worldwide road race and this year kicks off in Stockholm on May 23rd and ends seven days later in Las Vegas. Over 120 Drivers will be traveling across two continents and five countries, driving through Oslo, Copenhagen, Amsterdam, Reno, San Francisco, Los Angeles and Las Vegas.
Guess is sponsoring three drivers; know as Guess Vipers, and commissioned artist Tristan Eaton to customize their DODGE / SRT Viper x3 cars. Eaton is know for his work with KidRobot as the creator of the Dunny and Munny action figures and has work on permanent display at the MoMA. He is regularly commissioned as a creative director and has consulted for Nike, Hasbro and Barak Obama.
Taking turns behind the wheel will be none other than the Guess girls themselves; Danielle Knudson, Simone Holtznagel and Natalie Pack. But before you worry if the girls can handle the speed you will have to look at the behind-the-scenes video. And then you’ll really need to worry as one hasn’t driven a stick. However the Guess girls are in good hands as they will have professional drivers along for the ride on their legs of the race. Whew! We know, for a minute there we too thought this was going to turn into a Burt Reynolds movie.
