Cara Delevingne Shimmers in the Streets of New York City in Jimmy Choo’s Holiday 2017 Campaign
BY STEPHANIE PETTWAY
The era of disco in the 70’s was not only a time of fun music and colors, it was also a time of shine and sparkle like no other. Inspired by this period, Jimmy Choo’s Holiday 2017 film has Cara Delevingne “shimmering in the dark” streets of New York.
Shot by photographer Lorin Askill, and going to the funky beat of KC & the Sunshine Band’s “I Get Lifted,” Delevingne struts though NYC in true party gear: a red sequined slipdress and glitter Jimmy Choo ankle boots. She gets looks, stares and compliments on her shoes and even stops for a hot dog on her way to club “IWANTCHOO.”
For this collection creative director of Jimmy Choo, Sandra Choi, shows the relationship of light and dark, and how you need one to appreciate the other. With the sparkle of the shoes, and Delevingne’s shining personality, the film truly outlines the essence of the collection and how to “shimmer in the dark.”
