This season has been a homecoming for Loewe. The Spanish luxury fashion house opened its first flagship store in Madrid, where the house was established, and is also its largest global retail location.
Casa Loewe Madrid is a breathtaking journey through the fashion house’s universe. The 10,750-square-foot flagship store features a luxurious interior with Iberian limestone and wood and artwork such as sculptures, ceramics, and photography curated by Creative Director Jonathan Anderson. The Northern Irish designer partnered with in-house architects for 18 months to build the store, which occupies a historic 19th century building.
The full Loewe men’s and women’s collections are available in store and are complimented by the atelier’s leather goods offering and a made to measure service for custom work. In addition, Anderson added a flower shop to the new flagship store, which is a unique touch that brings a level of intimacy and beauty to the shopping experience.
Loewe may operate 22 stores in Spain, but the new flagship stands alone as a remarkable retrospective of atelier’s 170-year history and as a great starting point for new CEO Pascal Lepoivre.
