Alessandro Dell’Acqua debuts the new off-season N˚21 Transitional line and its supporting campaign

The metamorphosis of the fashion industry has resulted in brands deviating from runway shows and the wholesale model and introducing collections that don’t adhere to seasonal deadlines. N˚21, the prêt-a-porter collection by Alessandro Dell’Acqua, is the latest to adapt to fashion’s new age, with the introduction of N˚21 Transitional, a new line that reflects the brand’s vision and business strategy.

N˚21 Transitional is comprised of twenty-one looks that capture the label’s street smart and glamorous attitude. The debut collection features tartan plaid coats paired bright pink dresses, wool knit cardigans with tube skirts, neoprene anoraks complimented by print dresses and pjs, and sheer dresses and knee socks among other looks.

“In this first N˚21Transitional I put what I feel best illustrates the philosophy of the brand,” said Dell’Acqua. “That’s why I started from an updated concept of my masculine/feminine interplay, adding to the mix an urge for an irreverent punk aesthetic and for a self-confident sportswear mood.”

The new line is supported by a campaign short that features a model walking through a dimly lit building, transitioning literally from room to room, disappearing in the shadows and reemerging in a new outfit. The black-and-white video ends with the model holding a young child on her lap perhaps as a metaphor for the transition from childhood to adulthood.

Still photos of the model in the building complement the short and also highlight the leopard print pieces from the collection.

N˚21 Transitional will launch with two annual deliveries in May and November and will be available at N˚21 stores, leading department stores, and online on the brand’s website and other online stores.
