Jonathan Schofield’s ‘Signature’ Paul Smith Fall 2015 Campaign

Creative Director Jonathan Schofield is well know for his Stella McCartney work. This season the creative director applies his touch of colorful surrealism to the latest Paul Smith campaign.

The genius of the campaign lies not in the set and the coloring, which are solid, but in the exquisite use of the script logo. The design placement is superb and draws the eye to the logo in ways many fashion houses would be wise to study and add to their toolkit. No fashion campaign before has so wisely taken advantage of the letters “P” and “l.” Giving fellow Brit brand Public Image Limited a run for their money.

The set touches on the chromatic cubism of Smith’s collection, but those letters!
