Pitti Immagine Uomo highlights sportswear with special designers for 91st show in January

As they role into their 91st showing, Pitti Immagine Uomo has selected a bevy of distinct designers for this upcoming January’s show including British icon Paul Smith, American powerhouse Tim Coppens, London-based Cottweiler, and the ever popular Golden Goose Deluxe Brand.

The program of special events for the next Pitti Uomo represents for us a further step in the process of moving beyond the traditional duality between trade fair and fashion week.

An icon of British design and style who combines heritage, pop inspiration and eclecticism. He has chosen Pitti Uomo 91 as the place to launch his PS by Paul Smith collection. PS by Paul Smith, the designer’s contemporary line, offers a mix of luxury and performance pieces, technical fabrics and edgy cuts.

The Belgian designer has a style that attracts attention internationally in the fashion community, with his new aspect of luxury sportswear aesthetic. A finalist at the LVMH Prize 2014, winning the CFDA Swarovski Award the same year, Coppens will be showing off his world that merges tailoring with craftsmanship and athletic wear, keeping street-wear intact.

COTTWEILER FOR REEBOK | Designer Project

The London-based menswear label designed by Ben Cottrell and Matthew Dainty is showing the contrast between sportswear, fashion and street-style. In Florence, Cottweiler will be presenting the height of its collaboration with Reebok – a new partnership in which Reebok portrays its relationship and designs with cutting edge sportswear.
