The Store Scout | RAG & BONE TRIBECA
BY MARISSA TORSIELLO
rag & bone continues its retail foray, opening their tenth U.S. location in New York City on 228 W Broadway in Tribeca. The store marks the brand’s first standalone men’s boutique and most elevated retail design to-date.
The 2,300 square-foot store offers a full variety of men’s ready-to-wear clothing, accessories, and footwear collections. Focusing on an exclusive, luxury consumer experience, the unique interior design includes custom graffiti fitting room installations by Houston Wall artists Alexis Diaz, Boy Kong and Joe Hill, a record collection created by music director and close friend of the brand, Kris Bones, a gaming system that will stream live sporting events, an Apple TV showing a collection of “brand favorite” items, and the custom-made Storm Trooper costume gifted to Marcus Wainwright by Lucasfilm.
We recently shot Mark Hamill for our Men’s Project. I’ve been obsessed with Star Wars since I was a little kid, and my seven-year-old son is taking after that. He and I flew to London for the shoot and he got to meet the real Luke Skywalker. Mark was really generous with his time – hanging out with my son and even signing his light saber. The opportunity to share that experience with him was pretty surreal.
