Lifestyle brand Reign and Samsung have opened a new concept store at 807 Washington Street in New York City.
The new store was years in the making given Samsung’s budding relationship with fashion. The electronics company has been a sponsor for New York Fashion Week for some time, hosting several events and presentations, namely Kith’s first runway show, and operates a Fashion Group that finances apparel firms and provides full back-office support systems. Prior to Samsung’s collaboration with Reign, the company has partnered with Balmain, Comme des Garçons, Issey Miyake, Rick Owens, Thom Browne, and Juun J.
Reign, Samsung’s newest partner, was founded by Santino LoConte in 2017, and operates a curated retail concept that includes the new Meatpacking District store, e-commerce and a content platform.
The new 1,600-square-foot store utilizes Samsung’s integrated shopping system and the Reign app to allow customers to view exclusive content in store and to provide access to additional content.
The technology adds flavor to the store experience and brand mix that includes Balmain, Rick Owens, Undercover, Public School, Tim Coppens, Mykita x Maison Margiela, Stone Island and Hender Scheme among others. Satiable customers will be greatly satisfied by the clean and bright interior and private courtyard that features white washed exposed brick walls, Versailles parquet with white concrete floors and a 12-foot circular skylight that serves as focal point in the store.
