HEDI SLIMANE’S The Hollywood Palladium Campaign 2016 for SAINT LAURENT

If ever there was a case study for the value of fashion branding consistency, it would have to be drawn from parallels of Creative Director Hedi Slimane’s advertising and the Kering’s quarterly reports on the success of Saint Laurent. Sales and profits steadily increase as Slimane’s campaigns roll out as carbon copies. The message here is brand loyalty and increased market share is in direct relation to consistency and frequency over time.

For his recent collection shown at the Hollywood Palladium, Slimane once again goes behind the lens to art direct the colorful collection in high contrast black and white. This time he enlist models Grace Hartzel and Lili Sumner to contort and flex with wispy hair by Didier Malige. The imagery is again sublime as Slimane certainly knows how to master the nuances of drawing the eye as well as the almightily dollar. With the recent talks of changes at the house, this is one time The Impression can only hope the accountants get to weigh in.
