The world of intimate ads is awash in a sea of features and benefits calling out the science of construction and meaningfulness of support. It’s as if the ads are the brainchild’s of recent MBA grads and merchants in love with product subtleties, both thinking ads should be full of text to explain the nuance of detail.
Calvin Klein has always found a way to cut through the clutter opting for a combination of provocative sexiness with serene minimalism. Their latest round of underwear ads leans more toward the latter and features a cast including Amanda Wellsh, JiHye Park, Jourdan Dunn, Lara Stone, Myla Daibesio & Matthew Terry. The end result doesn’t need a focus group to tell you what it wants out of its underwear. They are looking at what they want out of their underwear.
