The Impression’s Look at the Best of Fall 2015 Footwear by Designer
By Danielle D’Onofrio
They say that a diamonds are a girl’s best friend, but they lied. It’s shoes. No matter what style, material or color – we don’t discriminate. We love them all, especially the fabulous ones we saw from the fall 2015 runway. Designers like Dior, Dries Van Noten and Givenchy embraced the chunky heel. Louis Vuitton, Nina Ricci and J.W Anderson directed us towards pointed heels. Types of shoes ranged from pumps to ankle boots to thigh high boots made of fabric spanning from velvet to the always classic leather. Meet your new best friends!
The sky was the limit with Dior’s vinyl sock boots in cool blues and earthly browns with lucite heels.
DRIES VAN NOTEN
Velvet was the fabric of choice this season and this trend was not lost on Dries Van Noten, who applied velvet to their ankle boots and even the heels of all their shoes.
Nina Ricci brought Paris to the runway with lady-like lower heels and thigh high boots.
The Valentino boot this season was bejeweled mid-calf boots and front zippered boots in patent leather.
J.W Anderson featured gathered boots decorated with a large metallic flower.
