London always makes for a pleasurable fashion week due to the proximity and timing of the shows, married with the level of creativity of the talent. This season we saw the return of iconic retailer Joseph to the top 10 with a progressive and dynamically proportioned collection as well as the return of the house of Alexander McQueen, who brought the drama and cut to the party. Anya Hindmarch delivered a cheerful play on cubism with moving blocks that echoed the humorous and playful nature of her collection, which layered in great coats this season. Preen by Thornton Bregazzi continues to impress us with their play on patterns, this season combining racing and athletic elements under florals. Overall it was one of London’s strongest fashion weeks. Here are THE IMPRESSION’S TOP 10 LONDON FASHION WEEK: WOMEN’S DESIGNER COLLECTIONS OF FALL 2016.
