Fashion storytelling is very often full of fables and sweeping epics that one wonders why brands haven’t leveraged Disney’s pixie dust to transform their stories into animated tales more often. After all there are quite a few animated characters in fashion. This season Tiffany & Co. has augmented their print campaign with an endearing animated tale of love, giving, and happiness in the most magical city of them all, New York.

Created by Ogilvy & Mather NY the piece highlights Tiffany’s key holiday items seamlessly while the viewer is enchanted by couples enjoying the best the city has to offer from Central Park benches to Brooklyn strolls by the bridge. The animated piece features scenes from the print campaign all set to an updated version of “Out of the Blue” by Chauncey Jacks. While one would expect the iconic Pantone No. 1837 Tiffany Blue color to drive the underlying colors, credit goes to the solid animation team for translating it in a sophisticated fashion while allowing the giftables to pop. Walt would be proud.
