Another fashion month has wrapped and with it, the longest running creative showcase in the world. Between presentations, showroom showing, fashion films and runway shows, there was a tremendous amount of greatness. However, as always, some fashion shows stood out from the pack to become the best of the season.
Chanel’s homage to the jet set took our top honors as the collection of the season. The Marc Jacobs show stopper of a collection at New York’s Ziegfeld Theater set a high bar for others to follow. The house of Gucci continued to pave a new and original path that we look forward to walking down as they translate the collection to retail. Louis Vuitton remind us that the house could do as strong a RTW collection as their accessory offering, and Calvin Klein brought deconstructed post-modernism to party.
Overall it was a dynamic and exciting season full of plenty of trends and design vision. While Japan Fashion Week is still on the horizon so officially the show season isn’t over, we thought it a good time to highlight the best of the last month of fashion shows between New York, London, Milan and Paris. Here are The Impression’s Top 10 Fashion Shows from Spring 2016.
