The Top 10 Most Viewed Spring 2018 Collections on The Impression

Newness, re-invention, street influence, and luxury drove the most viewed rankings for Spring 2018 by the readers of The Impression. Those characteristics are also what those of us fortunate enough to attend shows find of merit. The fresh perspective of Chloé’s new creative Director Natacha Ramsay-Levi was balanced with the fresh energy of Tom Ford in his triumphant return to showing women’s in New York. Street influence, always a mainstay in New York, was taken literally by Alexander Wang with his Brooklyn blast while Rihanna put an artistic twist on streetwear at Fenty Puma.

Donatella’s Versace’s moving tribute to her brother, Gianni, re-inventing his iconic 90’s looks reminded us of just how forward his thinking was for the time. Maria Grazia Chiuri rightfully continued her crusade for gender equality in pay as well as artistic perception. Raf Simons at Calvin Klein, Anthony Vaccarello at Saint Laurent, Nicolas Ghesquière at Louis Vuitton, and Alessandro Michele at Gucci all epitomized the pinnacle of fashion creative directors steering established houses forward. All with bravado and the courage to take risk. Because fashion after all is suppose to embrace the new and we appreciate your viewership in shining the light on newness.
