THE IMPRESSION Picks our Favorite Fashion Films of 2015

BY KENNETH RICHARD | The Impressionist

As the countdown to the holidays falls into single digits, The Impression looks back at what was not only a warm but creative season of holiday fashion film offerings.

Burberry, who traditionally leads the British invasion with their large productions, continued to do so this season with their ode to the film Billy Elliott. The British continue to dominate holiday fashion films with retailers from Harvey Nichols to John Lewis playing with our funny bones and pulling at our heartstrings. Agency adam&eveDDB has become the go-to agency of choice for brands looking to capture the hearts and share of wallet for the holidays, creating three of our top 5 fashion film picks. A special shout out goes to Macy’s, who didn’t make our top 5, but did deliver their best holiday campaign in years and showed that an American retailer can play on a global stage, producing an emoting and large-scale holiday film. An American brand did, however, crack The Impression’s top five for the first time with Coach’s Quentin Tarentino-esque revenge film. The film packed more than a punch and proved that naughty can indeed be nice.

Our thanks to all of the sporting retailers, designers and fashion labels that recognized the gift of giving this season by gifting us with the best collection of holiday fashion films in recent memory. Until next year, here are The Impression’s Top Five Holiday Films of 2015.
