Stylist and longtime A.P.C. collaborator Suzanne Koller is taking part in ‘Interaction’ during A.P.C’s Fall 2019 season. In the Spring of 2019, A.P.C began their Interaction project, with Kid Cudi as the inaugural collaborator. A.P.C. invites the brand’s friends to interact with and interpret collections with their own point of view. Just as Kid Cudi created his own capsule collection with A.P.C, Suzanne Koller, as a longtime friend to Jean and Judith Tuitou, has released her own collection for Fall 2019.
Suzanne Koller’s reputation as a well-known fashion designer, fashion director of M Le Monde and co-founder of the Self Service magazine, is what landed her this gig. For this collection, Interaction #2, Koller has imagined a line of 10 pieces named ‘Obvious Classic.’ With a consumer who is bold and daring in mind, Koller designed a line that evokes “a timeless, discreet and elegant garment.” While Kid Cudi’s collaborations could be described as urban street-wear, Koller’s collaborations exist as classic essentials to any women’s wardrobe.
Maggie Maurer, shot by photographer Bibi Cornejo Borthwick, is featured solo in the ad campaign. Bibi Cornejo Borthwick is one of The Impression’s 50 Female Creatives to look out for. She shoots Maggie gently. Although the campaign lacks full body shots, it is clear that Maurer and Koller’s collection are involved symbiotically. She moves because the fabric allows her to. She bends because the fabric wills her to do so. Clothes empower us, and Suzanne Kohler and A.P.C. have collaborated on a project that serves the modern woman in the most chic of ways.
