Owning this theme is Rick Owens. The Alien Warrior Princess defines strength in femininity as Owens further explores his ancestry and past. Owens asked, “mask artisans Wintercroft to sculpt metallic alien Aztec crowns.” Further Owens defines his show as “stoic Bauhaus Aztec priestesses in an art deco Valhalla filled with bubbles animated by Fantasia era Disney.” We couldn’t put it better ourselves. Rated as The Impression’s number one show, we must further emphasis that this collection was designed impeccably with the garment being constructed as if couture. Not only visionary but Owens is a master of his craft… and of the universe, it seems. Other noteworthy collections in this genre are Junya Watanabe, Fyodor Golan, andDries Van Noten.
