Art Partner Virtually Showcases Glen Luchford’s ‘Selected Works 1990-2020’ Exhibition
British fine art and fashion photographer Glen Luchford and Art Partner are showcasing Luchford’s photographs in a unique way that can be viewed from the comfort of your own home. Selected Works 1990-2020 is a virtual exhibition, that is open to the public now through Art Partner’s website.
The exhibition features an array of Luchford’s most famous works, including Amber Valetta (for Prada) who seems lost in the snowy maze from “The Shining”, a photo of young Kate Moss (for Harpers Bazaar) boxing on the street, and a wide selection of Luchford’s more recent collaborations with Gucci. Alongside these are photographs from his early years, including 90’s portraits of Bjork and a photo of British painter Jenny Saville, who was one of his first collaborators; interestingly the portrait was taken in a style that echoes Saville’s viscerally fleshy paintings.
The virtual exhibition can be viewed in two modes; viewers can take a guided tour in which they are directed through the 3D Gallery powered by Kuntsmatrix, or they can choose to explore on their own using arrows on the screen and simply clicking on images that they like for a closer look. Hats off to Art Partners for putting together a format that is ideal for art-lovers who are currently in self-isolation, and also could potentially rotate to focus on various artists throughout the year.
Selected Works 1990-2020 will run until Tuesday, June 30th, 2020, and a preview can be viewed in the gallery below.
