Originally from Kentucky, photographer Ben Grieme currently lives and works in New York.
Whilst studying photography in LA, Grieme found inspiration in the work of Larry Clarke and Nan Goldin, which led him to simplify the relationship between the camera and his subject. Channelling a ‘shoot what’s in front of you’ documentary approach, Grieme says he wants to “present an honesty in [his] work, whether it’s a portrait or a fashion editorial.”
In this collection of images, both personal and commissioned projects, the photographer acquaints us with his laid-back, ingenuous style.
