Angela Ahrendts Steps Down from Apple as Chief of Retail Operations Effective April 2019, Apple’s Chief of Retail Operations, Angela Ahrendts, will step down from her position. Before joining Apple in 2014, Ahrendts was Chief Executive Officer at Burberry. Following Ahrendts departure from Apple in April, Deirdre O’Brien will be succeeding her.
Moda Operandi Taps Kristina Salen as CFO Luxury fashion platform Moda Operandi has appointed Kristina Salen as Chief Financial Officer. Salen joins the firm from UnitedMasters, where she was also CFO. Prior to that Salen was CFO of Etsy taking the firm public. She has previously held posts with Fidelity, Oppenheimer Capital, Merrill Lynch and Lazard Freres. Salen will report to CEO Ganesh Srivats and be based in New York.
Gap Taps Alegra O’Hare as Chief Marketing Officer Alegra O’Hare is joining Gap as their new Chief Marketing Officer. Previously, O’Hare was VP of Global Brand Operations at Adidas. Prior to that, she was Marketing Manager at VF Corporation where she was responsible for Lee and Wrangler Jeans.
Thom Browne Promotes Matthew Foley to Global Dir. of Communications Matthew Foley has been named Global Director of Communications at Thom Browne. Foley joined Thom Browne in 2011 and was most recently Brand Director for the house. He reports to Tomaso Galli, SVP of Marketing.
Emilio Pucci Names Giorgio Presca Interim CEO Giorgio Presca has been tapped to fill the position of Chief Executive Officer at Emilio Pucci on an interim basis. Previously, Presca was CEO of Golden Goose Deluxe Brand. Prior to that, he also headed up the Italian footwear brand Geox. In the past Presca also held the role of CEO at Citizens of Humanity and Brand Director of the EMEA region at Levi Strauss & Co..
Eidos Appoints Michael Handis to Creative Director Michael Handis has been tapped by Eidos to act as their next Creative Director. In his new position, Handis will be overseeing all creative aspects of the brand and its image. Prior to this new endeavour, Handis founded two fashion archive resources, The Michael Handis Project and No. 107 Archive. In the past, Handis has designed for Tommy Hilfiger, Gieves & Hawkes, and Simon Spurr. In his new role at Eidos, Handis will be succeeding Simon Spurr, who departed the brand last month to move to Seven For All Mankind as their Global Creative Director.
E.L.F Hires Kory Marchisotto as CMO Kory Marchisotto has been tapped by E.L.F Beauty as Chief Marketing Officer. Marchisotto joins from Shiseido beauty group where she acted as SVP of US Marketing for the Bare Minerals brand. Prior to that, she was Marketing Brand Manager at Puig, and before that she worked at Givenchy in their fragrance sales division.
Outdoor Voices Names Pamela Catlett as COO Pamela Catlett has been appointed to President and Chief Operating Officer at Outdoor Voices. Previously, Catlett was SVP of Women’s and Youth lines at Under Armour. Alongside this, she also served as Chief Impact Officer at her own management consulting firm, Catlett & Co.. Prior to founding that company in 2014, Catlett was at Nike for 13 years, most recently serving as VP and General Manager of their women’s training division.
David Goubert Joins Neiman Marcus as EVP of Stores Neiman Marcus has named David Goubert as EVP of Stores and Retail Experience. Previously, Goubert was SVP of Starboard Cruise Services, owned by LVMH. Prior to that, he was at Louis Vuitton for 15 years, most recently serving as SVP of their Southern US, Mexico, and Caribbean operations. In his new role at Neiman Marcus, Goubert will be reporting to CEO Geoffroy van Raemdonck.
Ginger Mollo Joins Neiman Marcus as SVP Retail Expereince Neiman Marcus has tapped Ginger Mollo to be their new SVP of Retail Experience. Mollo joins the company from Apple where she’s been for 18 years, most recently serving as Senior Director of their Learning and Development Operations. Prior to joining Apple in 2001. Mollo held several managerial positions at retailers such as Claire’s Boutique, Wet Seal, and Bebe.
Carolyn Kocjan, previously Assistant Account Executive at MML PR, is now Account Executive at Covet PR.
Tamara Sneider, previously Influencer Relations Coordinator at Covet PR, is now Assistant Account Executive at the firm.
Taylor Frazier, previously Account Executive at Alison Brod Marketing + Communications, is now Senior Account Executive at the firm.
