Berluti Names Kris Van Assche Artistic Director
Kris Van Assche is joining Berluti as the new Artistic Director. Previously, Van Assche was Artistic Director of Dior Homme and also is Founder and Designer for his own namesake label. Van Asshe’s first collection will debut January 2019 during Paris Men’s Fashion Week.
Christian Dior Couture Taps Jens Riewenherm as Chief Digital Officer
Jens Riewenherm has been appointed to the position of Chief Digital Officer at Christian Dior Couture. Previously, Riewenherm was Managing Director of MyTheresa.com for 6 years. Prior to that, he was Marketing Director at Value Retail PLC.
Dior Homme Appoints Yoon Ahn to Jewelry Designer
Yoon Ahn is joining Dior Homme as their new Jewelry Designer. Previously, Ahn was Co-Founder and Designer of Ambush. Her first collection for Dior Homme will debut in June at Paris Men’s Fashion Week.
Marco Felci Joins Etro as CEO of Americas
The Etro Group has tapped Marco Felci as CEO of the Americas. Felci joins from Sergio Rossi where he held the same position. Prior to that, he was VP of Wholesale at Versace and before that he worked a plethora of managerial positions at Lanvin, Hermès, and Loro Piana US.
Karen Hoguet to Depart Macy’s as CFO
Effective February 2019, Chief Financial Officer of Macy’s Karen Hoguet is retiring from the company. Hoguet has been the CFO since 1997, and prior to that position was instrumental in the 1994 merger of Federated into Macy’s. Before her time at Macy Hoguet was at Boston Consulting Group.
Neiman Marcus Group Appoints Adam Orvos as CFO
Adam Orvos has been named CFO of the Neiman Marcus Group. Orvos joins from Belk Inc. where he most recently served as CFO. Prior to that he worked numerous positions at May Department Stores over his 30-year career in retail.
Galeries Lafayette Names Clara Cornet Merchandising Director
Clara Cornet has been appointed Merchandising Director of Galeries Lafayette Champs-Elysée, a flagship due to open in 2019. Cornet joins from her position as Buying Director at British luxury retailer The Webster. This is not her first stint at Galeries Lafayette, as Cornet her began her career at Galeries Lafayette as a womenswear buyer.
Gilbert Harrison Joins Inter Parfums Board
With more than 50 years experience in corporate finance, Gilbert Harrison is joining the board of Inter Parfums. Harrison is the Founder of investment bank Financo, and advisory firm the Harrison Group, started in 1971 and 1989 respectively. Previously, he was Head of the Lehman Brothers investment group and banking operations committee.
Lash Lounge Taps Dave Keil and President and CEO
Dave Keil has been appointed to President and Chief Executive Officer at Lash Lounge. Previously, Keil was CEO at Pure Barre, and before that he was CEO at HoneyBaked Ham. Prior to that he held multiple positions at Ecolab Inc., and General Mills.
David McCreight Departing Anthropologie as CEO
Chief Executive Officer at Anthropologie and President of Urban Outfitters, David McCreight, is exiting the company. In his absence, two Anthropologie executives will cover his responsibilities: Anthropologie Group President of Apparel and Accessories Hillary Super, and Group President of Home and Garden Andrew Carnie.
Max Orloff, previously Senior Public Relations Manager at Stella McCartney, is now Senior Communications Manager at the company.
Catherine Hunt, previously Associate Public Relations Manager at Proenza Schouler, has left the company.
Julie Selig, previously Public Relations & Marketing Manager for M Missoni, is now Manager of Influencer Marketing for Revlon.
AnOther Magazine Taps Marc Ascoli as Creative Director
Marc Ascholi has been named Creative Director of AnOther Magazine. Ascoli’s creative portfolio includes a plethora of fashion brands including Giorgio Armani, Paco Rabanne, Jil Sander, and Yohji Yamamoto. Ascoli’s first issue for AnOther will debut autumn-winter 2018.
InStyle Appoints Julia von Boehm Fashion Director
InStyle Magazine has found their new Fashion Director in Julia von Boehm. Previously, Boehm was a Contributing Designer for many high-end brands such as Estée Lauder, Lancôme, David Yurman, Tom Ford, Vera Wang, Swarovski, Bulgari, and Saint Laurent. Outside of brands and retailers she also has a history working fashion editorial positions at French Vogue, German Vogue, Italian Vogue, Harper’s Bazaar, and served as Creative Director at Interview Germany.
Kirsty Hathaway Promoted at Refinery 29 to Creative Director, Europe
Refinery29 has promoted Kirsty Hathaway to Creative Director of Europe. She first joined Refinery29 in the fall of 2015 as they launched their UK branch. Prior to Refinery29, she was the Editor-in-Chief at AnalogFolk. Before that, she Co-Founded and served as Editor of online review site Just Opened London. In the past she has also worked at GQ, Vogue, and Hearst Media.
George Michael, previously Business and Legal Affairs Director, Europe at Refinery29, is now VP of Business Affairs and Operations.
Kristin Cardwell, previously Director of International Strategy and Business Development at Refinery29, is now VP of International Strategy and Business Development.
Nina Joyce, previously Senior Communications Manager at VICE Media, is now PR Director of Europe at Refinery29.
Nikki Ogunnaike, previously Fashion Features Director at ELLE, is now Style Director at the company.
Ernest James Launches Noire Management for Influences of Color
Ernest James who has previously worked as a Publicist at LaForce and APA PR agencies, is now starting his own firm dedicated to helping and lifting up influences of color. Noire Management’s mission is to provide public relations services to black and brown businesses, as he took note of the gap in opportunities during his experience in the PR industry.
