Victor Herrero Steps Down from Guess as CEO Chief Executive Officer of Guess Inc., Victor Herrero, is stepping down from his position. Prior to joining the company in 2015, Herrero was Head of Asia-Pacific Operations and Inditex for 12 years. Carlos Alberini will be succeeding Herrero at Guess but Maurice Marciano will act as Interim CEO during the transition.
Peerless Clothing Taps Eric Jennings to VP of Creative Direction Eric Jennings is joining Peerless Clothing as their new VP of Creative Direction. Previously, Jennings was the Fashion Director of Saks Fifth Avenue in their men’s, home and beauty divisions. Prior to that, he was Brand Director at Hickey Freedman, and before that he was Senior Account Executive at Hugo Boss. Alongside his 20 years of experience in fashion direction, Jennings also recently co-founded E-2 Brand Management based in New York City. In his new role with Peerless, Jennings will be overseeing the brand’s creative strategy.
Spring Place Names Olivier Lordonnois as CEO Workspace and membership club Spring Place has hired Olivier Lordonnois to act as their new Chief Executive Officer. Lordonnois joins from The Mark Hotel where he acted as General Manager for 8 years. Prior to that, he held the same position at Hotel de la Tremoille for 6 years. Lordonnois’ extensive hospitality background also includes The Ritz Paris and The Lanesborough in London.
Puma Promotes Anne-Laure Descours to CSO Anne-Laure Descours has taken on a new role at Puma, now acting as their Chief Sourcing Officer. In this new position, Descours will oversee sustainability efforts at Puma as well as product development and sourcing activities. Descours originally joined Puma in 2012 as Director of Sourcing Apparel. Prior to that, she was Senior Vice President at Li & Fung, a Hong Kong-based international sourcing organization.
Li & Fung Appoints Darren Palfrey as Chief Digital Officer In a newly created role for the company, Li & Fung has appointed Darren Palfrey as their first Chief Digital Officer. Previously, Palfrey was Co-Founder and Chief Operating Officer at Gravity Supply Chain. Prior to starting that business in 2014, Palfrey worked in leadership positions at several other supply chain brands such as TCC global, Uniserve Group, and Allport Cargo Services.
Macy’s Taps Suzanne Anderson as Ready-to-Wear Fashion Director Suzanne Anderson has joined Macy’s as their new Fashion Director of their Ready-to-Wear division. Prior to her new role, Anderson was most recently VP and Creative Director at Peerless Clothing. Before that, she was VP of Design at Alexander Julian.
Clarins Hires Katalin Berenyi as President Katalin Berenyi has been tapped by beauty and skincare brand Clarins to fill the role of President. Previously, Berenyi was the Chief Creative Officer of L’Occitane en Provence. Prior to that, she co-founded and lead Erborian, a French skincare brand. Before that, she was VP of Worldwide Marketing at L’Oreal.
Under Armour Names Tchernavia Rocker as Chief People & Culture Officer Tchernavia Rocker has been tapped by Under Armour to be their first Chief People and Culture Officer for the sportswear brand. Rocker joins Under Armour from Harley Davidson where she served in multiple leadership positions since starting there in 2000, most recently serving as their Chief Human Resources Officer.
Dondup Appoints Matteo Anchisi to CEO Matteo Anchisi has a new position at Italian company Dondup, now serving as the Chief Executive Officer. Previously, Anchisi held the positions of Chief Commercial Officer and Chief Marketing Officer at the brand. Prior to joining Dondup in 2016, he was Managing Director at Drumohr.
Phil Dickinson Joins Superdry as Creative Director UK brand Superdry has tapped Phil Dickinson to act as their new Creative Director. Previously, Dickinson was Head of Sportswear at Nike. Since 2013, Dickinson has also been working on his own design agency, Some Ideas, whose clients include Richard James Savile Row, Woolmark, and Adidas. In his new role with Superdry, Dickinson will be heading product design and broadening their creative scope.
Coty Luxury France Promotes Mathieu Dufresne to General Manager Mathieu Dufresne has been appointed General Manager of Coty Luxury France. Previously, Dufresne served as VP of Global Trade Marketing at Coty. Prior to joining Coty in 2008, Dufresne was Area Manager at the Chalhoub Group.
MM6 Maison Margiela to Present in Milan MM6 Maison Margiela will be presenting their fall/winter 2019 collection in Milan, Italy. This will be the first show since the creation of MM6. The show will take place February 20th and will be a part of the Milano Moda Donna Fall/Winter 2019 schedule.
Max Mara Will Host Resort 2020 Show in Berlin Max Mara will be presenting their Resort 2020 collection in Berlin on June 3rd. The exact location of the show has yet to be revealed.
Rodarte Announce Fall 2019 Show to be Presented in LA Rodarte designers Laura and Kate Mulleavy have announced that their fall 2019 collection will be shown in Pasadena at the The Huntington Library, Art Collections, and Botanical Gardens. The show will take place on February 5th at 2 p.m. and will be the first time the brand has presented a collection on the West Coast.
Lucy Yeomans is Stepping Down from Porter as Editor-in-Chief Lucy Yeomans, the founding Editor-in-Chief of Net-a-Porter’s magazine, Porter, is exiting the company after 7 years at the helm. Prior to joining Net-a-Porter in 2012, Yeomans was Editor-in-Chief of Harper’s Bazaar for 12 years. Sarah Bailey will act as Editor-in-Chief of Porter following Yeomans’ departure.
Los Angeles Magazine Appoints Maer Roshan to Editor-in-Chief Maer Roshan has been tapped to lead Los Angeles Magazine as its new Editor-in-Chief. Roshan joins from men’s magazine FourTwoNine. Prior to that, Roshan also was head of creative consults Awesome Projects.
