Ken Downing Joins Triple Five Group as Chief Creative Officer Current SVP and Fashion Director of Neiman Marcus, Ken Downing is departing the company to start his new role as Chief Creative Officer at Triple Five Group. In his new position at the retail specialist company, Downing will be leading the design, marketing, advertising, and events divisions for the group. Prior to this new appointment, Downing was at Neiman Marcus for 28 years. Triple Five Group is best known for its development of Mall of America, the West Edmonton Mall, and is working on an upcoming project called the American Dream.
Glossier Taps Vanessa Wittman as Chief Financial Officer Vanessa Wittman has been tapped as Glossier’s new Chief Financial Officer. She joins from Oath, a media conglomerate where she held the same position. Prior to this, Wittman served as CFO at multiple companies such as Dropbox, Motorola Mobility, and Marsh & McLennan.
Kasey Jarvis Named Under Armour Chief Design Officer Under Armour has found their new Chief Design Officer in Kasey Jarvis, effective this April. Previously, Jarvis was VP and Design Director at climbing equipment brand Black Diamond. Before this, he was Senior Footwear Designer at Nike for 6 years. Prior to that, Jarvis was Lead Designer of the Hummer brand at General Motors. In his new role at Under Armour, Jarvis will be reporting to Chief Product Officer Kevin Eskridge.
Laura Dowling Appointed at Digital Brands Group to Chief Marketing Officer Brand communications agency Digital Brands Group has tapped Laura Dowling to act as their new Chief Marketing Officer. Dowling joins from Coach where she was Divisional VP of Marketing & PR for their North American operations. Prior to that, she was US Marketing and PR Director at Harry Winston for nearly 5 years. Other brands in which Dowling as lead marketing teams have been Polo Ralph Lauren, Links of London, Bulgari Corporation of America, and David Yurman.
Marco Agnolin Departs Diesel as CEO Chief Executive Officer of Diesel, Marco Agnolin, is stepping down from the company. Prior to joining the company in December 2017, Agnolin was CEO of Spanish youth label Bershka for 7 years. Agnolin will continue to serve on Diesel’s board. His successor has not yet been named.

British Vogue Appoints Anne-Marie Tomchak to Digital Director British Vogue has appointed Anne-Marie Tomchak to the newly created role of Digital Director. Tomchak joins from Mashable where she was Editor-in-Chief of the brand’s UK division. Prior to that, she worked as a journalist for outlets like BBC, American Public Media, RTE. In her new role at British Vogue, she will be reporting to Editor-in-Chief Edward Enninful.
Anne-Marie Curtis is Departing Elle UK as Editor-in-Chief Editor-in-Chief of Elle UK, Anne-Marie Curtis, is stepping down from the company after 15 years. Prior to taking the helm in 2017, Curtis acted as the magazine’s Fashion Director. Prior to joining Elle, she was a founding member of publication Wallpaper. Curtis’ last issue for Elle UK will be the June edition.
Dan Peres Tapped by Gawker as Editor-in-Chief Bustle Digital Group, who recently acquired Gawker.com, has tapped Dan Peres to lead the publication as Editor-in-Chief in a move effective April 1st. Peres is currently President of the marketing consultant firm Seven Across. Previously, he was Editorial Director at The Players’ Tribune, and before that he was Editor-in-Chief of Condé Nast’s Details for 15 years. Peres is expected to relaunch Gawker.com later this year.
Jessica Peppel-Schulz Joins Condé Nast Germany as Managing Editor Condé Nast Germany has tapped Jessica Peppel-Schulz to act as their new Managing Editor. Previously, Peppel-Schulz was CEO of United Digital Group for 5 years. In her new position at Condé Nast Germany, Peppel-Schulz will be reporting to Wolfgang Blau, President of Condé Nast International.
Harper’s Bazaar Arabia Names Salma Awwad Editor-in-Chief Salma Awwad has been tapped as the new Editor of Harper’s Bazaar Arabia. Prior to her new appointment, Awwad was Head of Design and Strategy at her namesake fashion consultancy brand. Prior to establishing her brand in 2016, she was Group Fashion Stylist at ITP Media. Before this responsibilities, Awwad designed for Ralph Lauren and Giorgio Armani, along with working marketing roles at L’Oreal and Narciso Rodriguez.
Gillian de Bono Steps Down from How To Spend It as Editor-in-Chief Gillian de Bono, Editor-in-Chief of Financial Times luxury mag, How To Spend It, is departing from the company, effective this summer. De Bono first joined the Financial Times in 1994 to set up their original magazine operation.
Marisa Carroll Joins New York Magazine as Features Editor New York Magazine has tapped Marisa Carroll to be their new Features Editor. Carroll joins from BuzzFeed where she was Deputy National Editor for 5 years, and Senior Features Editor for 4 years prior to that.

Herzog joins the firm from Bottega Veneta where he served as Senior Communications Manager for five years. Prior to that, he was with Stella McCartney in a similar capacity.
Elite World, Freedom Holding, Name Paolo Barbieri to Deputy Chairman Paolo Barbieri has been named Deputy Chairman of modeling agency Elite World as well as its parent company, Freedom Holding. Previously, Barbieri was CEO of Elite World. He will be succeeded in that role by Julia Haart.
