Jean-Philippe Hecquet Departs Sandro as CEO
Chief Executive Officer of Sandro, Jean-Philippe Hecquet, is leaving the company. Prior to his time at Sandro, Hecquet was International Retail Director at TAG Heuer. Before that he worked at Louis Vuitton for 11 years, most recently serving as VP and Managing Director of Louis Vuitton Canada. While an official announcement has yet to be released, Hecquet is set to take over as CEO of Lanvin.
Lisa Pomerantz Departs as CMO of Bottega Veneta
A year after returning to the helm at Bottega Veneta as Chief Marketing Officer, Lisa Pomerantz is departing from the house to “to pursue other projects.” Pomerantz rejoined Bottega Veneta in 2017 after six years as SVP of Global Communications and Marketing at Michael Kors. Pomerantz previously spent nine years at Bottega Veneta in charge of global communications at the house. Before joining Michael Kors, Pomerantz headed her own consultancy firm. She previously held various roles at Giorgio Armani, Donna Karan and Céline.
Adam Crozier Named ASOS Chairman
ASOS has found their new Chairman in Adam Crozier, who will officially step into the position at the company’s annual shareholders’ meeting on November 29th. Previously, Crozier was Chief Executive Officer at Britain’s Royal Mail and ITV. Crozier will be succeeding Brian McBride, who served as ASOS Chairman for 6 years.
Oscar Olsson Steps Down as Nyden Managing Director
Oscar Ollson is departing from Nyden, H&M’s millennial focused start-up, as their Managing Director in order to pursue other projects. Olsson helped found and head Nyden, and before that he worked several leadership positions at H&M over his 5 years, there, most recently serving as Creator and Head of their Innovation Lab. Prior to that, Olsson was Head of Business for Gelato, an IT service company.
Noel Kinder Promoted to Nike Chief Sustainability Officer
Nike has announced that Noel Kinder, a 19-year veteran of Nike, will be promoted to Chief Sustainability Officer, effective September 5th. Kinder most recently served as VP of Sustainable Manufacturing and Resourcing. Prior to that, he was General Manager of Nike’s Vietnam Operations where he oversaw the brand’s manufacturing. Before joining Nike, Kinder served in the Peace Corps based in Honduras.
Hannah Jones Promoted to Nike President of Nike Valiant Labs
20-year Nike veteran Hannah Jones is now the President of Nike’s business incubator program, Nike Valiant Labs. Previously, Jones held the role of VP of Sustainable Business and Innovation. Prior to joining Nike in 1998, Jones was a Senior Consultant at FleishmanHillard for Microsoft.
Walmart Taps Janey Whiteside as Chief Customer Officer
Effective August 1st, Janey Whiteside will take on the newly created role of Chief Customer Officer at Walmart. Whiteside joins from American Express where she spent 20 years, most recently serving as EVP and General Manager of Global Premium Products and Benefits. In her new role at Walmart, Whiteside will be responsible for Walmart’s stores and e-commerce operations when it comes to attracting shoppers and offering stellar customer service.
Walmart Appoints Barbara Messing as Chief Marketing Officer
Barbara Messing has been tapped by Walmart to be their Chief Marketing Officer. Messing joins from TripAdvisor where she was also CMO. Messing also sits on the Board of Directors for Mashable and the XO Group Inc. As part of her new role at Walmart, Messing will be based out of Walmart’s corporate headquarters in Bentonville, Arkansas.
Ryan Dziadul, previously Director of PR at Jonathan Adler, is now Director of Marketing and PR at the firm.
Dior Moves Spring Show Ahead One Day
Usually one of Paris Fashion Week’s most high profile openers, Dior has decided to move their spring 2019 show one day ahead to September 24th.
Stephanie Mark, co-founder of Coveteur is now Editor-in-Chief at the firm.
Leah Cooper, previously Features Editor at Coveteur, has been promoted to Editorial Director at the firm.
