Paul Marciano Steps Down from Guess as Chief Creative Officer Cofounder and Chief Creative Officer of Guess, Paul Marciano, is stepping down from the helm of the company amid misconduct claims and subsequent settlements. Guess revealed they would be paying $500,000 worth in settlement agreements after concluding an investigation into accusations made against Marciano by 5 different people. Marciano has 15.6 percent stake in the company and will remain on the board of the company while his brother, Maurice Marciano, takes over as Chairman of the Board. Victor Herrero, Guess’ Chief Executive Officer, will be assuming all of Marciano’s creative responsibilities by the start of next year.
Bottega Veneta Appoints Daniel Lee Creative Director Daniel Lee is joining Bottega Veneta as their new Creative Director. Previously, Lee was Creative Director at Céline, which he joined back in 2012. Prior to that, Lee worked designing at brands such as Maison Margiela, Balenciaga, and Donna Karan.
Daria Fain Joins Paul Andrew as Global Head of Communications Paul Andrew has named Daria Fain as Global Head of Communications at the New York-based design house. Fain joins from Jonathan Simkhai where she was Digital Director. Prior to this, she was working on digital teams at Eugenia Kim and Elle Magazine.
Louis Vuitton Taps Christine Centenera to Consult on Spring Collection Virgil Abloh, the new Creative Director of Louis Vuitton’s menswear line, has tapped Christine Centenera to consult on his debut collection for the brand. She will be helping style the show for the spring collection, which will show June 21st in Paris. In the past, Centenera worked with Vogue Australia from 2012 – 2016 and has freelance styling otherwise.
Peter Cuneo Continues to Act as Iconix Brand Group Interim CEO Peter Cuneo is set to serve a second tour as interim Chief Executive Officer of Iconix Brand Group after the resignation of John N. Haugh. Cuneo, also the Executive Chairman of the Iconix Brand, first served as interim CEO from August 2015 to August 2016.
