Jil Sander Appoints Axel Keller as CEO
Owner of Jil Sander, Onward Luxury Group, has promoted Axel Keller from Commercial Director of Jil Sander to CEO. Keller joined Jil Sander in February from Balenciaga, where he was Commercial Director for 15 years.
M Missoni Appoints Margherita Missoni as Creative Director Margherita Missoni has been named Creative Director of the M Missoni brand. Her first collection for the house will be for Spring 2020.
Benetton Taps Jean-Charles de Castelbajac as Artistic Director
United Colors of Benetton has named Jean-Charles de Castelbajac as Artistic Director overseeing men’s and women’s collections for the house. De Castelbajac first launched his brand Ko & Co in 1968, cofounding Iceberg in 1974 and launching Jean-Charles de Castelbajac brand in 1978 or which he departed in 2016. His first collection will bow for Spring 2020.
LVMH’s Watch Division Appoints Stéphane Bianchi as CEO Stéphane Bianchi has been tapped as Chief Executive Officer of LVMH’s Watch Division, which encompasses three brands, Hublot, TAG Heuer, and Zenith. Previously, Bianchi served on the board of Maus Group and prior to that spent many years with the Yves Rocher Group. Bianchi is succeeding former CEO Jean-Claude Biver, who is staying on as a Chairman.
TAG Heuer Promotes Frédéric Arnault to Strategy and Digital Director TAG Heuer, part of LVMH’s Watch Division, has found their new Strategy and Digital Director in Frédéric Arnault. Arnault started with the company last year as Head of Connected Technologies. Prior to joining LVMH he was a researcher for artificial intelligence at Facebook.
Patrizio di Marco Joins Golden Goose Deluxe Brand as Chairman of the Board Golden Goose Deluxe Brand has tapped Patrizio di Marco as their new Chairman of the Board. Previously, di Marco was CEO and Chairman of Gucci. Di Marco succeeds Marco De Benedetti, who will stay on as Director.
Silvio Campara Promoted at Golden Goose Deluxe Brand to CEO Golden Goose Deluxe Brand has promoted Silvio Campara to Chief Executive Officer. Previously, Campara was the brand’s Chief Commercial Officer for the past 5 years. Campara also has history in commercial retail at Sundek and Giorgio Armani. He will be succeeding Giorgio Presca, who joined the company in 2017 from Geox.
Barbara Campos, previously Global Wholesale Director for Marni, is now CEO Joseph.
Susana Clayton, previously head Designer at Givenchy, is now the Creative Director ofJoseph.
Josep Font has stepped down as creative director of Delpozo.
Nikola Vasari has been named Creative Director of Faith Connexion.
Guillaume Henry, previously Creative Director of Nina Ricci, is nowthe Creative Director of Jean Patou.
Louise Trotter Named Creative Director of Lacoste
Former creative director of Joseph, Louise Trotter, has joined Lacoste in the same role and its the first woman to hold the position in the French brand’s 85-year history.
Charles Leung Appointed Fred CEO LVMH has tapped Charles Leung to act as Chief Executive Officer of French jewelry brand, Fred. Leung joins from Chaumet, another LVMH-owned brand, where he was VP of International Sales and Distribution. Prior to his 11 years there, he spent a decade at Cartier, most recently serving as the Retail Director of Greater China.
Safilo Taps David Anabitarte as VP of Latin America Operations David Anabitarte has been appointed VP of Latin Americas at Italian eyewear manufacturer Safilo. Anabitarte joins from Marchon Eyewear, where he spent 20 years managing their Latin American operations as well. The Safilo Group is responsible for manufacturing eyewear for a number of high-end brands, including Fendi, Dior, Tommy Hilfiger, and Polaroid.
Nathalie Kristo Named Huda Beauty President, US Operations Nathalie Kristo has taken over Huda Beauty’s US market as President. Previously, Kristo was Global Brand President at NYX beauty. Prior to that, she spent 18 years working across the globe for L’Oréal.
J.C. Penney Taps Jill Soltau as CEO The J.C. Penney Co. has appointed Jill Soltau to the position of Chief Executive Officer. Soltau has 30 years of retail experience, as she most recently acted as CEO and President of JoAnn Stores. Prior to that, she was President of Shopko Stores.
Helena Sampson Named Huda Beauty President, Europe Operations Huda Beauty has tapped Helena Sampson as President of their European market. Previously, Sampson was International VP of Kendo Brands, owned by LVMH. Prior to that, she was VP of Europe and the Middle East at Laura Mercier & Revive. Sampson also has spent 13 years at L’Oréal in the past, most recently serving as their Head of Luxury Professional Brands.
The Met’s Costume Institute Names Nancy Chilton Chief External Relations Officer The Costume Institute at The Met has made Nancy Chilton their new Chief External Relations Officer. Previously, Chilton was Chief Communications Officer for the Institute, and before that she acted as their Senior Press Officer. In her new role, Chilton will be responsible for industry outreach, philanthropic programs, communications, and special events such as The Met Gala.
