Olivier Lapidus Departs Lanvin as Artistic Director
Artistic Director of Lanvin, Olivier Lapidus, is leaving the company after designing for the French fashion house for two seasons. Before joining Lanvin last year, Lapidus helmed his father’s namesake brand for 11 years. Prior to that, he was Artistic Director of Balmain Homme. Alongside his career experience, Lapidus has 11 patents for fabrics he made with fiber optics. Lapidus was also the first to create a web-based couture house, allowing buyers to live stream runway shows attached with a see-now-buy-now option. Going forward, Lapidus will continue to design under his own name, and the creative team at Lanvin will be responsible for design.
Lanvin Names Joann Cheng Interim CEO
Joann Cheng has been named Interim CEO of Lanvin. She takes the position with over two decades of senior managerial experience. Previously, she was Chief Financial Officer for DJI Innovations, a Chinese tech firm. Prior to that, she was Finance Director of TPG, a private equity firm. Before that, Cheng was Greater China Controller at GE Capital.
Peggy Eskenasi Appointed Vera Wang President
Vera Wang has tapped Peggy Eskenasi as President. Eskenasi joins from Nine West where she was Executive Chairman. Prior to that, she was SVP of Product Development at Kohl’s Department Stores. Before that, Eskenasi was President of Private Holdings at Saks Inc. Eskenasi succeeds Veronique Gabai-Pinsky who recently resigned as President.
David Yurman Promotes Carol Pennelli to President
Carol Pennelli has been named President of David Yurman. She has spent 15 years with the company, most recently serving as their Chief Commercial Officer. Prior to David Yurman, she was SVP of Sales, Education and Global Special Events at Bobbi Brown. In her new role, Pennelli will oversee all of David Yurman’s functions outside creative and design.
Anna Bakst Named Kate Spade CEO
Anna Bakst has been appointed Chief Executive Officer and Brand President of Kate Spade. Bakst joins from Michael Kors where she was for 14 years, most recently serving as their Group President of Accessories and Footwear. Prior to that, she spent 12 years at Donna Karan International, serving as their President of Footwear and Accessories at the time of her departure. In her new role, Bakst will report to Victor Luis, CEO of Tapestry Inc who recently bought Kate Spade.
Stacey Cartwright Departs Harvey Nichols as Deputy Chairman
Effective April 30th, Stacey Cartwright is leaving Harvey Nichols as their Deputy Chairman. Cartwright had been appointed Deputy Chairman last fall after previously serving as Harvey Nichols Chief Executive Officer. Prior to that, she worked executive financial positions at Burberry
José Manuel Martínez Gutiérrez Departing Esprit as CEO
Chief Executive Officer of Esprit, José Manuel Martínez Gutiérrez, is leaving the company after 6 years at the helm. Previously, Gutiérrez was Group Director of Distribution and Operations for Inditex. Prior to that he was at McKinsey and Co. for 8 years, managing it’s Spain Operations.
Anders Kristiansen Appointed Esprit CEO
Effective June 1st, Anders Kristiansen will take over the role of Chief Executive Officer of Esprit. Kristiansen joins from private equity firm Permira where he was an Industrial Adviser. Prior to that, he was CEO of British retailer New Look.
Nathalie Remy Named Christofle CEO
Nathalie Remy has been named Chief Executive Officer of the French silver brand, Christofle. Remy joins from McKinsey and Co., where she worked to reposition and market brands. Christofle is owned by Dubai-based Chalhoub Group, the largest luxury retailer in the Middle East.
Erica Vilkauls Appointed CEO of L.K. Bennett
L.K. Bennett has tapped Erica Vilkauls to be their new Chief Executive Officer. Most recently, Vilkauls was Chief Executive of East. Prior to that, she was Chief Operating Officer of Thomas Pink This new appointment is not her first time with L.K. Bennett, as from 2006-2009 she was Merchandise Director of the British footwear and accessories brand.
ModCloth Names Antonio Nieves as CEO
Antonio Nieves has been appointed to Chief Executive Officer by ModCloth. Nieves was previously Chief Financial Officer for the company. Before ModCloth, Nieves was Chief Operating Officer at Bonobos. Prior to that, he was Senior Finance Director at Logitech.
The RealReal Taps Jun-Sheng Li as COO
Jun-Sheng Li has been appointed Chief Operating Officer at luxury consignment company, The RealReal. Li joins from Walmart where he was SVP of E-Commerce.
The RealReal Taps Len Eschweiler as CRO
Len Eschweiler has been named Chief Revenue Officer at The RealReal. Previously, Eschweiler was SVP of Retail at Affirm. Inc. In the past, he also served as General Manager, Director of Commerce and Payments at Amazon.
Rebecca Goodman Krantz, previously Director of Global Communications at Tomas Maier, is now Global Vice President of Communications at Oscar de la Renta.
Julie Selig, previously PR/Marketing North America at M Missoni, has left the company.

Vanity Fair’s Creative Director, Jessica Diehl, is exiting the publication after 12 years. Prior to joining Vanity Fair as a Style Editor, Diehl was Sittings Editor at Vogue and worked as Grace Coddington’s Personal Assistant for 3 years.
Yves Bougon Appointed President of Condé Nast France
Condé Nast France has tapped Yves Bougon as President, effective May 7th. Previously Bougon was CEO and Representative Director of Hearst Fujingaho based in Tokyo. Prior to that, Bougon worked at Hachette Fujingaho, being named CEO of the publishing group in 2006. In 2011, it was acquired by Hearst Media, and Bougon stayed on, continuing to launch 5 magazine and 9 digital publications during his tenure.

Andrea Běhounková has been appointed Editor-in-Chief of Vogue Czech Republic and Slovakia, which is set to launch later this year. Previously, Běhounková was the Editor-in-Chief of Elle Czech Republic. Prior to that, she worked editorial at Style, as well as Žena a život.
