Stefano Biondo

Marni Appoints Stefano Biondo as CEO
Stefano Biondo has been tapped to serve as Chief Executive Officer at Marni. Previously, Biondo spent 15 years at Italian eyewear designer Safilo, most recently holding the position of Chief Brand Officer. At Marni, Biondo will be successor to Ubaldo Minelli who joined the company last year.

 

Stephanie Phair

BFC Names Stephanie Phair Council Chair
Stephanie Phair has been appointed to Chair of the British Fashion Council. She succeeds Net-a-Porter Founder Natalie Massenet. Currently, Phair is the Chief Strategy Officer at online retailer Farfetch. Alongside her responsibilities at Farfetch, Phair is also on the Board of Moncler and venture capital firm Felix Capital.

Hugo Boss Hires Christopher Martinelli as VP, Marketing & Communications
Christopher Martinelli is joining Hugo Boss as their new VP of Marketing & Communications. Previously, Martinelli was VP and Head of Global Communications at Equinox Holdings Inc.. Prior to that, he was VP of Menswear, Global PR & Celebrity at Calvin Klein. In his new role at Hugo Boss, Martinelli will be responsible for overseeing marketing, PR, celebrity, and events for the brand.  

Céline Taps Lilian Bard as Press Manager
Lilian Bard has been made Press Manager of Céline’s New York offices. Bard joins from Christie’s where she was a PR Manager, holding the same position at Saint Laurent before that. Prior to Saint Laurent she managed accounts at PMK BNC.

Céline Appoints Peter Ute as Director of Couture and Events
Peter Ute has been named the Director of Couture and Events in Céline’s Paris offices. Previously, Ute was Communications Manager at Christie’s and before that he was also at Saint Laurent working Communications in Los Angeles.

Ralph Lauren Taps Angela Ahrendts for Board of DirectorsAngela Ahrendts will be joining Ralph Lauren’s Board of Directors. Ahrendts is set to be nominated as the annual meeting of stockholders taking place this upcoming August. Currently, Ahrendts is the SVP of Retail at Apple Inc.

Ralph Lauren Adds Michael George to the Board of Directors.
Michael George will be joining the Board of Director at Ralph Lauren. Currently, George is the President and Chief Executive Officer at Qurate Retail Group, an American media conglomerate.

Frediano Sebastiani

Mr & Mrs Italy Promotes Frediano Sebastiani to CEO
Frediano Sebastiani has been tapped as the new Chief Executive of Italian brand Mr & Mrs Italy. Previously, Sebastiani served as their Chief Operating Officer. He will be succeeding Andrea Bucalossi who will continue to hold 70 percent of the fashion house.

Olivier Schaeffer

Yoox Net-a-Porter Taps Olivier Schaeffer as COO
Olivier Schaeffer has been announced as the new Chief Operating Officer at Yoox Net-a-Porter Group. Schaeffer joins from being COO at Sephora where he’s been for 16 years. Alongside Sephora, Schaeffer is also a lecturer in marketing at HEC Paris. In his new position, Schaeffer will be reporting to CEO Federico Marchetti.

Kay Barron has been promoted from Fashion Features Director at Net-A-Porter to Fashion Director across the brand’s bi-monthly print title and daily and weekly digital platform.

Christyanna Nguyen, previously Associate of North American Communications at Tom Ford Beauty, is now PR Manager at Christian Dior Beauty.

Stefania Discioscia, previously PR and Event Specialist at H&M, has left the firm.

Samantha Reed, previously deputy style Editor at The Hollywood Reporter, is now News Editor at InStyle.

Stella McCartney has announced she will be showing her women’s and men’s 2019 resort collections during men’s fashion week in Milan. McCartney will show her newest collection on the last day of fashion week, taking place during the second week of June.

Alberta Ferretti Joins Milan MFW
Alberta Ferretti has announced she will be showing her 2019 resort collection, and limited edition collections at Milan men’s fashion week. Her shows are expected to take place June 15th.
